The Acoustic Guitar Fall season opener, originally scheduled for Thursday, August 20th, has been cancelled due to an excessive heat warning.

We hope to kick off the season next week on Thursday, August 27th. Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to seeing you then!

Celebrate Our Country, Our Freedom, and Our Nation’s Birthday by making Daniel Island one of the “Most Patriotic Towns in America.” Paint the Town Red, White, and Blue, and join in for Daniel Island’s Independence Day festivities on Friday, July 3rd, with neighbors, friends, and family. Dress up your homes, your businesses, your bikes, and your golf carts with patriotic colors and take part in our island tradition of honoring this wonderful holiday.

This annual event includes a golf cart/bike/stroller/walkers parade which will lead to Smythe Park where music, fun and food will be enjoyed under the oaks!

Daniel Island Golf Cart Parade & Independence Day Celebration Event Timeline:

- 3:15 pm – Golf Cart Parade line-up begins at Bishop England High School
- 4:00 pm SHARP – Parade proceeds to Daniel Island Drive and continues to Daniel Island School parking lot at DI Drive and Purcell Street
- 4:00 – 5:00 pm – Smythe Park – Emcee/DJ Shane Griffin playing patriotic music
- 5:15 – 6:00 pm – Charleston Concert Band – Tribute to the USA and our Armed Forces
- 6:00 – 7:00 pm – Charleston Jazz Express
- 7:00 – 9:30 pm – The Yacht Club

Parade route: Leave from the Bishop England High School Parking Lot, turn right on Daniel Island Drive and end at the Daniel Island Drive & Purcell Lane intersection. The north side of Daniel Island Drive will remain open. 2026 Map of Parade Route

ONE WEEK AWAY! The 15th Annual Danziger Cup Kids Fishing Tournament will be held Saturday, June 20th, at Smythe Park, 8:30 am-10:30 am (Father's Day weekend)

Children ages 4 to 15 of families who reside or work on Daniel Island are eligible to enter as anglers in the tournament. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

***Only the first 150 Pre-Registrants are Guaranteed a Goodie Bag at check-in ***

Awards will be given for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd longest fish of large mouth bass, pan fish, and mullet caught in each age category. Plus an award for the longest “Mystery Fish” caught in any age category and for any tagged fish. The Grand Champion Award is for the longest eligible fish species overall, regardless of age category. The Grand Champion will win a half-day fishing trip for two people with Capt. Greg Peralta.

The Exchange Club of Daniel Island will once again transform River Landing Drive into a stunning sea of red, white, and blue as members and volunteers place 1,000 American flags in tribute to our nation’s heroes.

Now in its 11th year, the Field of Honor® presented by Healing Field stands as a powerful and moving display honoring veterans, active-duty military, first responders, teachers, cancer fighters, and many others who have made a meaningful impact in our lives.

This display will be featured on River Landing Drive from June 13th - July 5th.
