Chris Dorsel and Michael Morganti have been playing music together off and on since they met while attending West Florence High School together. They both enjoyed playing acoustic guitars and singing songs where they could harmonize their vocals. While Michael and Chris both moved away from home after high school to pursue their education, they both decided to settle in Charleston where they reconnected and began playing gigs together again. They enjoy playing anything from Eagles to Dave Matthews Band and everything in between.

Chris Dodson is a singer, songwriter, and Guitarist based in Charleston, known for his blend of folk, rock, and Americana music. He performs regularly at venues across South Carolina and has released multiple independent albums since the early 2000s. His sound draws comparisons to artists like Jackson Brown.

KRYSTAL
Born and raised among the wide-open fields of the Midwest, Krystal Halvorson bid farewell to Iowa’s gravel roads and dramatic seasons to travel internationally pursuing visual arts. After visiting nine countries in two years—Venezuela being the most transformative—she joined an artist collective that lived and worked in a converted funeral home turned community theater that specialized in producing original musical comedies.

Family ties eventually brought her to the Lowcountry, where Charleston has become home. Over the past decade, her music career has unfolded through many creative chapters: leading bands in local churches, recording in studios, and collaborating with Charleston’s finest musicians on stage.

Her soulful vocals and creative arrangements span genres from vintage R&B and folk to reimagined classics, bringing sweet nostalgia and heart to every performance. She believes the arts are a profound way to nourish the human spirit and pursues building supportive community among artists. Offstage, she can be found soaking in nature or sailing the harbor.

CARYN

Caryn Egan is a classically trained violist who has spent the last decade in Charleston, South Carolina, pushing the boundaries of her musical upbringing. She has collaborated with many other musicians in a variety of genres and toured throughout the Southeast and Midwest.

She has also gained experience and accolades as a vocalist and songwriter, winning Best Female Singer-Songwriter of the Year and Song of the Year for “Barefoot Child” in the 2023 Charleston City Paper Music Awards.

In 2025, she recorded with internationally renowned band Shinedown on their single “Searchlight,” which hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart.

Matt Jordan has been playing live music in Charleston for 30 years. Former member of the bands Plane Jane and Trickknee.

Eddie Stonaker is a Professional Musician and Charleston, SC native who has been performing in the local/regional music scene for 30+ years. Having performed as a soloist, duo, trio as well as fronting a 6-piece band, he has built a loyal following of fans and friends over the years. Covering many genres from Rock, Country, Reggae, originals and more, Eddie’s performance is a soundtrack of the songs you love and know by heart. With passionate, soulful vocals and a smooth style on guitar, Eddie will have you singing and dancing along in no time.

Join us at the Fall Acoustic Guitar Series with Chris Sullivan this Thursday, August 27th, at Daniel Island Waterfront Park from 5 - 7 PM.

Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, Chris Sullivan grew up in Charleston, South Carolina, where he fell in love with and began playing music. Sullivan’s vast musical influences shape his no-nonsense approach to delivering music unadulterated by trends and loyal to his heart, while expressing the introspective aspects of his life that would otherwise remain untold. Referring to Chris’s recordings, artistviewblog.com recently stated, “This is music. True, unapologetic music. Chris has a timeless style in his music. It sounds effortless. Exactly how music should be”.

Sullivan’s discography includes the notable releases “Live in NYC” and an EP titled “Dog Days”, which includes acclaimed singles “By the Light of the Radio” and “Black Clouds”, both of which received international recognition. He released a collection of successful singles throughout 2021 and has a brand new single "Emily" (feat. American Nomads) scheduled for release Sept 2023 with the promise of continuing a full schedule of live performances.

Celebrate Our Country, Our Freedom, and Our Nation’s Birthday by making Daniel Island one of the “Most Patriotic Towns in America.” Paint the Town Red, White, and Blue, and join in for Daniel Island’s Independence Day festivities on Friday, July 3rd, with neighbors, friends, and family. Dress up your homes, your businesses, your bikes, and your golf carts with patriotic colors and take part in our island tradition of honoring this wonderful holiday.

This annual event includes a golf cart/bike/stroller/walkers parade which will lead to Smythe Park where music, fun and food will be enjoyed under the oaks!

- 3:15 pm – Golf Cart Parade line-up begins at Bishop England High School
- 4:00 pm SHARP – Parade proceeds to Daniel Island Drive and continues to Daniel Island School parking lot at DI Drive and Purcell Street
- 4:00 – 5:00 pm – Smythe Park – Emcee/DJ Shane Griffin playing patriotic music
- 5:15 – 6:00 pm – Charleston Concert Band – Tribute to the USA and our Armed Forces
- 6:00 – 7:00 pm – Charleston Jazz Express
- 7:00 – 9:30 pm – The Yacht Club
