Each year The Job Foundation looks forward to celebrating a new class of graduates at our senior celebration. This year TJF staff, volunteers, and donors gathered to celebrate 2026 graduates Kendra and Daniesha!

The Job Foundation community is so proud of the hard work these two amazing individuals have put into this program. We cannot wait to see where this next step in life takes you.

Every young person deserves the tools to build a financially independent future. That belief drives The Job Foundation in Cedar Falls, IA — and it's why we're honored to support their work with a $25,000 Believe in Local grant. 🧡

The Job Foundation was born out of grief, and a refusal to let that grief be wasted. After founder Jennifer Corey-Brost and her husband Mike lost their first child, Job, they channeled unimaginable loss into lasting purpose. Drawing on years Jennifer spent living in a Section 8 apartment building alongside families trapped in cycles of financial hardship, they established The Job Foundation in 2006 with a powerful mission: equipping young people and their families to build real, lasting financial independence.

Through Believe in Local — now in its fifth year — our employees nominate the nonprofits making a difference in the communities we serve, live in, and love. Each year, more than 600 nominations help us identify 40 organizations across our footprint, and each receives a $25,000 unrestricted gift.

We’d just like to say, the Kentucky Derby Fundraiser saw some pretty spectacular hats… But none quite as AWESOME as the homemade hats donated by local businesses for our live auction hat contest!!

A HUGE thanks to Midwest Studies Group, Community Bank & Trust (who also added a REAL $100 bill to the brim😉), Waterloo Black Hawks, Grizzly Rose Botique, FirstBank (who ALSO threw in a $50 gift certificate to downtown CF with BOTH of their hats), Wanderlust Studio Market, Chuck Rowe, Iowa Irish Fest, and Pillar of the Cedar Valley for donating these wonderful hats!
