Lost Canyon Ranch Open Space was designed with inclusion in mind.
two paths amongst the 10 miles of trails at the property are flat and wide, and offer a great way to get more folks outdoors.

Families with kids, strollers or mobility issues have an opportunity to enjoy Lost Canyon too! Check out the Willow Creek Path or Pronghorn Path.

The Parks and Trails Foundation is working with the Town of Castle Rock to add benches and some shade to these paths ☀️

BIDS FOR TRAILS IS UNDERWAY!!!

Bids for Trails is an online silent auction at the Castle Rock Parks and Trails Foundation’s Tunes for Trails summer concert series.

This month, you can score a VIP Table to see next month’s concert – Ninety Percent 90s – which closes out the 2026 Tunes for Trails season on Sept. 17. Drink tickets, snack tray, and a swag bag included for everyone at your table.

Take a two-hour trip around Castle Rock with all your friends on the Town Trolley – the trolley accommodates up to 24 and is ADA-accessible.

Get two of the hottest tickets in town to the Foundation’s biggest fundraising event – Twilight on the Trails. This sunset event is held at Lost Canyon Open Space Ranch, on Saturday, Sept. 12.

Even if you aren’t coming to this month’s Tunes for Trails concert, you can still participate. Every bid helps us grow local parks, trails, and open spaces in Castle Rock!

BIDS FOR TRAILS SILENT AUCTION NOW LIVE!

Our free Tunes for Trails concert in August, featuring Santa Rios – a Santana tribute band – takes place this Thursday 8/20 at 6:30 p.m., at the Amphitheater at Philip S. Miller Park. Gates open at 5:30 p.m.

Leading up to the show this week and up until 7:30 p.m. Thursday 8/20, you can bid on three amazing options:

*VIP Tables to the final Tunes for Trails concert of the season – Ninety Percent 90s – on Sept. 17! Each VIP table includes a snack tray, one alcoholic and one non-alcoholic drink ticket per person, and a Castle Rock Park and Trails Foundation swag bag. Our Executive Director will provide tableside service too! Bid on a table for four (five available).

*Two-hour Town Trolley Rental – Take a trip with all your friends on the Town Trolley. The trolley accommodates up to 24 and is ADA-accessible.

You’ve fallen in love with the trails at Lost Canyon. Now, you're standing on Bootlegger's Trail as the sun starts to drop. The Front Range is stretching out in front of you, and you hear music in the distance. Then you make your way back to the funky Lost Canyon House to enjoy a drink, good food and great company.

Then you realize—you’re not just attending an event. You're gathering with your neighbors and like-minded folks to get a glimpse of what this place could become.

Stargazing at Lost Canyon 8/14 *POSTPONED*

Based on guidance from the Denver Astronomical Society and their monitoring of the weather forecast, we’ve made the decision to POSTPONE Friday's 8/14 Stargazing at Lost Canyon.

Cloud cover is holding at 81% for Friday night during the event window – enough to prevent meaningful celestial viewing and telescope use. As any stargazer knows, clear, stable skies are essential, and the weather forecast just isn’t cooperating.

We plan to reschedule this event for later this fall. We are coordinating with Denver Astronomical Society and the Town of Castle Rock to find a compatible date. We will be happy to transfer registrations for those who can and want to attend. Please be on the lookout soon for a new email with reschedule options.

It’s Parks and Trails Tuesday! Today we’re highlighting our fundraising event Twilight on the Trails! Tickets are available for September 12 for an evening soirée at the funky Lost Canyon house. It’s live bluegrass music, food, and an optional guided history hike.
We’re excited to celebrate the opening of Lost Canyon trails and look to the future of this incredible space!
