Removing all evil from one’s life is insufficient if it is not replaced with the presence of the Lord. Matthew 12:43-46 reminds us of how true and important this is.

Abiding in Christ is vital if we are to “bear fruit” as Scripture reminds us that we cannot do so if we are not connected to the vine. This looks like spending time in the word, prayer, worship and being obedient-fully submitted to our Heavenly Father.

What are you doing today to abide in Him-to replace old habits, thoughts and actions with the presence of the Lord?
