KEEP MOORE COUNTY BEAUTIFUL’S
2019 SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT WINNERS
KMCB is a non-profit organization that promotes educational programs in Moore County Schools, government, businesses and community organizations. KMCB has many anti-liter campaigns, and many other education and outreach programs throughout the year. The Keep Moore County Beautiful Annual Environmental Scholarship program is established for all Moore County Public and Private High School seniors with at least a “B” average, and students who have active participation in Environmental Studies, Horticulture /Agriculture and Turf management. A $1000 scholarship is awarded to (4) seniors in the Moore County School system. We are proud to announce the (4) recipients each receiving $1000 to the university or college of their choice are;
Brianna Diaz , from Pinecrest High School. Brianna will be attending NC State University to pursue a major in Animal Science, to further and expand her knowledge in courses related to veterinary medicine field. Besides attending the university, Brianna will be volunteering at animal education units, joining the Pre-Vet Club and Wildlife Management and Conservation opportunity in South Africa. ,
Kathryn Streahle, from Pinecrest High School. Kathryn will be attending Belmont University of Nashville. Kathryn will be majoring in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology to research health and medicine along with continuing to pursue her community service opportunities.
Sarah Paschal, from North Moore High School. Sarah will be attending University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Sarah will be pursuing an Economics Degree with an emphasis on accounting.
Charlotte Davis, from North Moore High School. Charlotte will be attending Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. Charlotte will be majoring in Agroecology and Environmental Science.
