Thanks to all who participated in our 50/50 drawing for the Muse Whitaker Memorial Committee. Landis Whitaker drew the winning ticket which was purchased by the Sandhills Sentinel. BJ Goodridge, owner of the SS, donated the $844 winnings back to our project. The Sandhills Sentinel is a great part of our community and we are so grateful for their support and especially for this amazing gesture. These funds will go directly toward the construction of a beautiful memorial that all the citizens of central NC can enjoy. We still have a long way to go...but thanks to all who bought tickets. We have made a good dent in the funds we need! As we approach the end of the year, I know many of you own businesses that may need some tax breaks. Please consider a donation to our 501(c)(3). Any donations are fully tax deductible.

The Muse Whitaker Memorial Committe, Inc is a 501(c)(3) non-profit based in Carthage, NC. We will be constructing a memorial to honor public servants Max H. Muse and Landis "Lanny" Whitaker of Carthage, NC who served the area in the emergency services and medical fields.
