We are proud to recognize Shaw Plant 15 for their outstanding Autism Awareness Month initiative. Through the sale of puzzle pieces displayed throughout the plant, associates raised $440 in support of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bartow County.

Malachi Khyri Davis, 16 of Rockmart, Georgia passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 2, 2026.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at 12:00 P.M. at Church at Liberty Square, 2001 Liberty Square Drive NE, Cartersville, Georgia 30121. Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery, 165 Old Tennessee Road NE, Cartersville, Georgia 30121.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 14. 2026 from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at Mack Eppinger and Sons Funeral Home, 210 North Bartow Street, Cartersville, Georgia 30120. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this time of bereavement. This service will be LIVE-STREAMED.

Meal Train® for The Davis-Gilchrist Family

Malachi Davis was a leader, a mentor, a Jesus-loving young man, an artist, and a star whose presence commanded every room he entered. He was fluent in so many areas of life—music, reading, academics, sports, and family. When Malachi set his mind to something, he pursued it with intention and purpose.
Malachi attended the Boys & Girls Club of Bartow County for more than a decade. At 14, he became a teen employee, stepping naturally into leadership roles. Whether he was advocating for opioid abatement, helping run sports camps, or energizing the staff with his love for music, Malachi showed up with passion and authenticity. He was never afraid to speak his mind. He believed deeply in the power of voice, and he used his to uplift, challenge, and inspire.
He loved telling a good story, and he was a fierce pool player—so good, in fact, that there were days I had to pretend I didn’t have my glasses or hadn’t slept just to soften the blow of losing to him. But even with all that talent, he was never prideful. His light was genuine, warm, and magnetic. Our members adored him, and our staff admired him.
Malachi sought connection, growth, and purpose. His energy was unmatched, and his presence shaped the future of so many around him. He was a shining light in our Club family, and his absence is felt deeply.
My condolences go out to his family and friends as we navigate a world without Malachi. His legacy—of leadership, creativity, faith, and joy—will continue to live on in the Boys & Girls Club of Bartow County and in every life he touched.
