"We strive to have our home really focus on partnering with the family. We believe that foster care does not just mean fostering the children. It means fostering the family. We work and partner very closely with biological parents so that they will always have a built-in support system." -Fournier foster family in Towns County, Georgia

Here's to you foster families! Thanks to those who actively pursue support of biological families whenever it is safe and possible to do so.

As we prepare for Memorial Day tomorrow, we also pause to recognize another important day observed on May 25th — National Missing Children’s Day.

First proclaimed by President Ronald Reagan in 1983 in memory of Etan Patz, National Missing Children’s Day honors the children who are still missing, the families who continue searching, and the professionals and community partners working every day to protect children and bring them home.

At West Georgia Child Advocacy Center, we believe every child deserves safety, protection, and hope. Tomorrow is a reminder that prevention, awareness, collaboration, and advocacy matter.

If you see something, say something.
Together, we can continue building safer communities for children and families across West Georgia.
