Celebrating Caitlin Meyer & Looking Ahead to PARCโs Next Chapter
West Georgia Prevention & Advocacy Resource Center is preparing for an important transition. At the end of this year, our Executive Director, Caitlin Meyer, will be leaving PARC to pursue the next chapter of her professional career.
While we are certainly sad to see Caitlin go, more than anything, we are incredibly proud of her and grateful for the impact she has made on PARC, our community, and the survivors we serve.
Caitlinโs story with PARC is a special one. She first joined the organization as a college intern from the University of Georgia during COVID. From there, she became a Prevention Educator, then Assistant Director of Prevention, and ultimately Executive Director in October 2024. Along the way, she continued her education and earned her Master of Public Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
During her time at PARC, Caitlin has helped develop prevention programming in our local schools, strengthen relationships with law enforcement, healthcare providers, courts, schools and community organizations, and expand PARCโs role in community-wide violence prevention. As Executive Director, she developed an updated Sexual Assault Response Protocol for the West Georgia Judicial Circuit, helped establish new fundraising efforts, managed critical grant funding and compliance, and worked to strengthen the internal systems that support PARCโs long-term success.
But Caitlinโs impact cannot be measured by programs, grants or numbers alone.
She has been a tremendous blessing to our Board, a leader and advocate for her staff, a trusted partner throughout our community, and, most importantly, someone deeply committed to ensuring survivors have a place to turn during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
We are also extremely grateful that Caitlin is committed to making this transition a successful one. Over the coming months, she will work alongside the Board and PARC staff to transfer institutional knowledge, grants, programs, partnerships and administrative responsibilities and help onboard our next Executive Director.
With that, PARC is officially beginning the search for our next Executive Director. We are seeking a strong, compassionate leader who can build upon the foundation already in place and continue moving PARC forward in its mission of supporting survivors and preventing sexual violence throughout Carroll, Haralson and Heard Counties.
The position is full-time and based in Carrollton. Responsibilities include organizational and staff management, grant administration and compliance, financial oversight, fundraising and donor development, program oversight, community partnerships and organizational growth.
As we begin this next chapter, our mission remains unchanged, our services continue, and our commitment to the people and communities we serve remains as strong as ever.
Caitlin, thank you for growing with PARC, for leading with heart and purpose, and for leaving this organization stronger because you were part of it. We cannot wait to see what comes next for you, and we are equally excited about what comes next for PARC.
