The Coolest Ribbon Cutting of the Summer!

What happens when creativity, community, and a little slime come together?

About 100 people came out to celebrate the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting of Slime Lab in Carol Stream—and it was incredible!

Kids stretched, squished, and created their own slime. Families enjoyed face painting, ice cream, giveaways, and one of the coolest interactive art experiences we've ever seen—the Slime Splat Wall, where every guest adds their own splash of color to a growing masterpiece.

Congratulations to Janki Patel, her family, and the entire Slime Lab team for bringing such an imaginative concept to Carol Stream. What started as a dream has already become a destination, with families traveling from across the region—and even neighboring states—to experience the fun.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special, including Mayor Frank Saverino, our Village Trustees, Chamber Board President Jeff Berger, Chamber members, family, friends, and so many community supporters.

This is exactly what a Chamber celebration should be...

Today is Be a Kid Again Day... and I couldn't help but smile.

Some of my favorite childhood memories happened at the lake.

Swimming until our fingers wrinkled... boating with family... picnics on the shore... homemade ice cream... long summer days that seemed like they'd never end. We didn't need much—just sunshine, laughter, and the people we loved.

Now, one of life's greatest joys is creating those same memories with my grandchildren. Watching them discover the simple magic of the lake reminds me that some of the best moments in life never go out of style.

Today, take a few minutes to be a kid again. Skip a rock. Eat the ice cream. Jump in the water. Laugh a little louder. Make a memory.

Those are the things that last.

This one is just plain squishy FUN!

Jeff Berger - Carol Stream Village Trustee and I had the chance to tour Slime Lab in Carol Stream last Wednesday, and I couldn't stop smiling.

Owner Janki Patel had a vision; and she brought it to life! From creating your own custom slime to the incredible Slime Splat Wall (yes...you launch your slime onto the wall with a slingshot and become part of the artwork!), every detail is designed to spark creativity, laughter, and memories.

The colorful selfie wall? 📸 Perfect.

The endless slime combinations? Kids will love them.

And honestly...I think adults might have just as much fun. 😊

The best part? It was so busy with campers yesterday that Janki barely had a chance to talk Chamber or ribbon cutting and I couldn't have been happier for her! That's exactly the kind of problem every new business hopes to have!

Congratulations to Janki and her family on bringing such a unique experience to Carol Stream. We can't wait to officially celebrate!

What a great evening celebrating the groundbreaking of The Enclave at Carol Stream!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support Kailasha Developers. We were honored to welcome Mayor Frank Saverino, State Senator Seth Lewis, Village officials, Chamber members, neighbors, and friends to celebrate this exciting milestone.

The weather cooperated, the smiles were plentiful, and the golden shovels officially broke ground!

One of the highlights of the evening was the announcement that the street within The Enclave will be named after the Hahn family, honoring one of the area's original farming families whose roots in Cloverdale date back to the 1850s. It's a meaningful way to preserve a piece of Carol Stream's history while building its future.

Congratulations to Kiran, Jeet, Dushyant, and the entire Kailasha Developers team! We can't wait to watch The Enclave take shape.
