Our members are protected 24 hours a day by a staff of full-time, in-house attorneys and field representatives who have the a proven track record of winning.

The Labor Council provides full service union representation in negotiating and enforcing union contracts, improving salaries, working conditions and benefits for law enforcement professionals throughout Illinois. We represent law enforcement professionals exclusively and full-time. When someone wants an expert, they call in the FOP Labor Council. Standing up for our members effectively and responsibly is a daily occurrence. No unit is too big or too small. We provide training seminars and conduct annual meetings where our members determine the direction of their Labor Council.

Every year, we present a Recognition Award at our Annual Meeting. The award is intended to honor those law enforcement personnel and criminal justice professionals who have performed their duties with distinction and/or valor.

Shoutout to our members at Willowbrook Police Department, who are continuing to provide valuable experiences at their Citizens Police Academy! They teamed up with Nijah Greene and Ilana Alcala, who are Labor Council members at DuComm! Keep reading to hear what they have to say:

"A huge thank you to DuComm (who are also members of the Labor Council!) for taking the time to join our Citizens Police Academy and give our participants an inside look at the important work that happens behind the scenes when someone calls 911.

Their presentation highlighted the many questions that must be asked, the information that needs to be gathered, and the lifesaving instructions that can be provided before first responders even arrive.

A special thank you to Nijah Greene and Ilana Alcala for sharing their knowledge, answering questions, and giving our academy participants a better understanding of the vital role DuComm plays in our community."

"Students and parents from Oakton Elementary took two-wheel commuting to the next level with a special Bike to School es**rt!

Evanston Police Officers hit the streets alongside our young riders and their families, ensuring a safe, energetic, and smooth ride all the way to the school doors.

There’s nothing better than seeing bright smiles, active kids, and strong community connections starting the school day off right.

Throughout the month of October, Joliet Police Department personnel will again be authorized to wear pink badges & patches for cancer awareness. The patches were donated to JPD, and the badges were bought individually by Officers at no cost to taxpayers. Pink Patch Project |
