REMINDER: Roads are open to access North Hanover Street businesses during roundabout construction.

This week's Taste of the Town features Chen's Asian Restaurant at 310 North Hanover Street, where they're serving up authentic Chinese cuisine made fresh daily. We are joined by our friend Heather, who is about to celebrate one year of ownership of Salon Heather on Pomfret. Today we offered assistance with her facade grant application. She's making quite the transformation of the old, neglected space!

It was a great day for sushi! Stacey had a California roll, crab roll and crunchy shrimp roll. Phil opted for a sweet potato roll, a salmon skin and 2 salmon rolls. Heather chose the green river wasabi, crazy salmon and the godzilla rolls.

Stop by for your favorites Sunday from noon until 9:30pm; Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 11am until 9:30pm, or Friday and Saturday from 11am until 10:30pm. You can also order online at chenscarlisle.com

OPEN TO LOCAL TRAFFIC

Some of the signs placed in the construction zone on N Hanover Street can be a little misleading but local traffic can drive past North Street on N Hanover Street to get to any businesses located in the construction zone. The intersection at the train track is closed for all traffic.

Here's a recap of the Ford Parade, Park & Party held Saturday in downtown Carlisle. We had a beautiful night despite the threat of severe thunderstorms.
