Hey Michigan Women, it’s Blair from SOAR: DOWNRIVER WOMEN’s COMMUNITY. On Feb 7th, we’ll be hosting our second annual Women’s Empowerment Summit. This event is near and dear to my heart, because it isn’t about selling anything or business development. It is for women to share their stories of how they have overcome obstacles, broken generational curses, and find women who are sick of the stories they tell themselves. Get ready to eat charcuterie, drink mocktails, find a community of women, and be inspired by women who have overcome.

Tickets are $65 until December 1st, then they will increase. You can get your ticket by commenting “summit.”

Our board (minus our Children’s Leader 😂) met today to discuss 2027 and upcoming events!

We are three busy women with businesses, full time jobs, kids, and nonprofit work. Yet, we have a passion for making sure Downriver Women have a place to feel welcome, included, build community.

Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who showed up and supported SOAR last night! Numbers are being tallied, but we raised over $100 last night!

This money will go towards our programs such as the monthly Book Club, Annual Women’s Empowerment Summit, and upcoming new connection groups!

A huge special thank you to Christina from Freckles & Grit and One Table at a Thyme for the amazing Charcuterie board!!

Our last two October events are here!

Oct 23rd: Shop with a Purpose at Freckles and Grit in Trenton. Shop from 6-8 pm and 20% of sales are donated back to SOAR for our upcoming SOAR Community Groups

Oct 24th: Book Club at the Literary Hideaway. Only two spots remain. We will be discussing Hollywood Ending.
