Fawn Animal Rescue A non-profit, 501(C)3, veteran-owned Animal Rescue located in Monroe County, Michigan. We also rely soley on donations to help pay vet bills.

We do not have a facility to house animals, so we rely on fosters and foster-to-adopt families to assist us. Fawn Animal Rescue works closely with Monroe Country Animal Control, Monroe, Michigan, to find temporary and permanent placement for stray, abused and in-need animals in Monroe and surrounding counties in Southeast, Michigan. Before an animal is placed in its permanent home, Fawn Animal Rescue does a home visit and interviews references to ensure the animal is a "good fit" with the prospective family. In addition, Fawn Animal Rescue works with Dr. Lucretia Greear, Woodhaven Animal Hospital, Woodhaven, Michigan, to ensure the animal is vet checked, receives appropriate vaccines, is spayed/neutered and microchipped.

This is Scooby’s Halloween portrait. He thinks he looks scary but we tell him noooo! Pitbulls aren’t scary only when bad people own them do scary things happen. Scooby understands that now but doesn’t understand why he doesn’t have a home? We tell him soon Scooby!
Would you like to meet this gentle giant? He’s a baby at hearts. We hope all his tricks will end this Halloween and he will get a home.

🌹 I’m single and looking to mingle—will you accept this Rose? 🌹

Hello, all you Bachelors and Bachelorettes! My name is Lily Rose, but you can call me Lily. I’m a sweet, single 8-year-old Pug mix who arrived on transport from an overcrowded shelter. Thankfully, I was rescued and am now looking for my special person to adopt me and make it official! 💕

Get to know me:

🌹 I weigh approximately 14 pounds.
🌹 I’m doing great with my foster fur siblings and feeling comfortable in my foster home.
🌹 I love following my foster dog siblings and foster parents around the house.
🌹 Cats? No problem!
🌹 I do well with children ages 5 and older. I love giving kisses and wag my tail constantly!
🌹 I’m located in West Bloomfield, Michigan. Adopters must live within a 50-mile radius.

My ideal home would include another small dog to keep me company—someone I can follow around and adore. I enjoy relaxing in my crate, which is my safe retreat, but I’d also be happy curling up in a cozy dog bed or on the couch beside you. 🐾

With patience and positive reinforcement, I promise to blossom into your loyal best friend. I’m a true sweetheart and would make a wonderful addition to your family!

Complete an adoption application today! https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ah0334&method=online_form_html&formid=5&formid=5

With love and flowers,
Lily Rose 🌹

🐾💔HEARTBREAKING SIGHT💔🐾
This poor little guy was found hiding in some tall grass in a wooded area of Detroit. He was too terrified to move or even run when he was found, so the kindhearted person who spotted him picked him up and carried him to his truck. They brought him home and immediately started reaching out for assistance. Smitty is now safe and sound and on board with Detroit Pit Crew. He is currently at a veterinary hospital and sadly he is terrified of every sound, every person and everything around him.

We don't even want to know what trauma Smitty has survived however we are thankful to play a part in his journey to his new and better life.

I’m Josie. I was surrendered to Almost Home after living 6 years with my family.
My family took me to the vet before surrendering me and i was diagnosed with a UTI. The vet gave me antibiotics, but I just wasn’t getting better.

Almost Home took me under their wing and took me to a couple different doctors to find out what was wrong with me. It turns out I have lots of bladder stones which is very, very uncomfortable and life-threatening if not taking care of.

I’m now at emergency care of Rochester. They are very nice to me and treating me with tender loving care. The pain I was in was indescribable but the Rochester hospital knew just what to do. They gave me surgery and removed four bladder stones. They were very big and very uncomfortable for me.

I’m still very weak and recovering, but the Bill was very very expensive. Do you think you can help Almost Home pay for part of this bill by sending in a donation? I would’ve died if Almost Home didn’t take me in. And it would’ve been a painful death Almost Home is not sorry they took me in. It pains them to think of the suffering that I endured and it is their pleasure to pay for the surgery and make me all better by being the best that I can be. Almost Home doesn’t have the funds, but they never can say no, so please if you would donate to Almost Home so they can help other doggies like me. Love, Josie Girl XOXO.💕💕💕
