Presented in conjunction with the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and the University of Illinois Extension, each webinar in this 3-part series has a different focus specifically tailored for market managers, market vendors or environmental health professionals.

It is Soil Health Week! Do not miss the Southern Illinois Soil Health Symposium on Thursday, March 5th at Glaciers End.

🪱Join us and Glaciers End for the 4th Annual Southern Illinois Soil Health Symposium on Thursday, March 5th from 5:30-8pm in Marion at Glaciers End! Happy hour from 5-5:30.

🌿The Southern Illinois Soil Health Symposium will be geared towards educating and motivating people to learn more about and take action, in regard to soil and water health. The Soil Health focus this year will be centered around Soil Health Basics for Markets and Home Gardening.

🌎This event will kick off with updates from Food Works and the Illinois Stewardship Alliance. Our first speaker will be Amanda Weidhuner from SIU Soil Sciences, discussing soil foundations, covering science, soil health and function. We will then hear from Noah Scalero at BeetRoot Farm on practical techniques for growing vegetables and healthy soils.
