Day #4 of Boone County Fair at the Belvidere Cosmo Charities corn tent with some more delicious sweet corn from Van Laar's Fruit Farm. This corn is the highlight of the fair. Come on down to the fair and get you some! You'll find us next to the grand stands. Let your nose follow that sweet roasted corn smell.

Day 2 at the Boone County Fair, helping the Belvidere Cosmo Charities unload a truck load of Van Laar's Fruit Farm delicious sweet corn. Come on out to MURPHY'S tomorrow for lunch, dinner or just a delicious appetizer and Murphy's will donate 10% of proceeds to Empower Boone Food Pantry.

Day one of the Boone County Fair and Empower Boone volunteers were on hand to help unload the corn trailer for the Belvidere Cosmo Charities. We love partnering with such a giving organization who loves our community as much as we do.

We can't say how much we appreciate the support that we get from Empower Boone! They unload trailer loads of corn for us each morning during fair week. Thank you so much!

Overdose is dark and scary. It is the feeling of loneliness and hopelessness. It can be found in the face of a neighbor, a friend, a co-worker, a sibling, a parent and even a child and when this disease takes a life, it effects everyone around them. It leaves those left behind feeling that we should have done more to help them. We should have carried Narcan. We should have reached out more, but the truth of the matter is that drug dependency is an illness, and learning more about this illness, and what you can do to advocate for this terrible disease can actually SAVE A LIFE!
Please join us during Overdose Awareness Week is August 31 - September 4 at Big Thunder Park 601 N Main St. Belvidere and show our community that we are here for one another.
Those that we have lost are MORE than a memory, they are a reason to act!

*GRADES 1-12 ONLY
*ALL children MUST be present to receive a backpack
*MUST remain in the food line to get a backpack...NO WALK UPS

We cannot make exception to these rules.
