Less than two weeks until Poplar Grove's Neighbor's Fest!

This past week, we had the honor of holding a Celebration of Life for one of our members. He was a farmer, a veteran, a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a dear friend to many here in our community. It was amazing to see the so many people come together and arrange such a special tribute to honor him. He will be greatly missed. Rest in paradise, Wayne.

Good afternoon, friends. During Sunday's worship service, Pastor Carolyn shared something with the congregation in her sermon that beautiful correlated with Phil's message the week before during our Laity Sunday service. "Christ has been made the head of the church, his body. His body, the church, is the fullness of Christ. Friends, there is no Plan B. WE are the church today. We are Christ's body in this place and time. WE are the hands and feet of Jesus in this corner of the world. Christ is fully present in the world today because Christ's church is full present in the world today."

Her words were a beautiful reminder of what we are capable of as Christians when we represent Christ and our church in today's world. How will you be present in our community? How will you act as the hands and feet of Christ to help others today?

It has been just over a week since this family lost everything in a devastating house fire. Donations are still being accepted at Village Hall in Poplar Grove.

Donations can also be brought to the church Mon-Fri between 9am-2pm, and our office admin with take them to the elementary school for the family.

Thank you for your support!

Our hearts are with our neighbors at 389 Westergren after the devastating house fire they experienced. They have lost everything and are currently in need of essential items and clothing.

The Village is helping collect donations for the family. Donations can be dropped off during normal business hours at Village Hall located at:

Current clothing needs include:
• Mom – Women’s Large
• Dad – Adult Medium
• Son – Boys Size 10/12
• Daughter – Girls Size 7/8

Items such as toiletries, hygiene products, blankets, gift cards, and other everyday essentials would also be greatly appreciated.
