We would like to express an enormous "Thank you!" to Hannah at She She's Bakery for coming through for us with a last-minute, somewhat odd request: Gluten-free, dairy-free apple cider donuts... for communion! (Yes, you read that right! Donuts for communion!)

The past four Sundays were part of a worship series covering the "Season of Play". Each week, Pastor Carolyn including a fun, child-like element to give our congregation during worship. Week one: A Bingo Card of fun activities to do and check off throughout the week to earn a prize the following Sunday. Week two: Bubbles. Week three: A Slinky. Week four: She surprised our congregation with communion (which is ordinarily served on the first Sunday of each month) and in the place of our traditionally-served, gluten-free bread? Yep! DONUTS!

Trying to secure a gluten-free, dairy-free donut option just two days before we needed it wouldn't be easy! However, when we reached out to a local gem, known for its delicious gluten-free treats, Hannah came through without an ounce of hesitation. The best part? Our congregation absolutely loved them, and it was the perfect way to tie up a fun and memorable worship series which reminded us all of the importance to include fun elements of play in our day to day lives, even as grownups! Thank you, Hannah!

You should NEVER be contacted by our pastor, office admin, or anyone else at the church asking for the following: Payroll or bank account information, PDF's of the church directory or other personal contact information, or any information regarding payments or utility accounts or bills. If you do receive an email and are unsure of its authenticity, please call the church office and speak with our office administrator to confirm whether or not an email is spam. Thank you!

Despite their smiles, they all assured us they were NOT ready for summer to end and to head back to school! 😂 These awesome kids were frequent visitors in our parking lot for a safe, flat place to ride their bicycles this summer and spent yesterday getting in one last day of summer bike riding. Thank you for being so respectful of the church, its staff, and visitors! We hope you have an awesome school year, kids!
