We are so grateful to be a member of their pack!

If you are available, pleaseeee stop by and have some fun with us! lol!!! Some bags may be 40-50 pounds so it takes quite a bit of strength! 😳😬

What a gorgeous day! Thank you to everyone who came out! A ton more toys were given away and almost all of the Halloween costumes. 👻💀. Next week we’ll add more special “treats” to the mix! Not sure what yet lol else I would post! 😉🧙‍♀️

Thanks to Barry for picking up our load from Rockford and also unloading it. I would have helped but I was busy unloading 800 pounds of cat kibble! 😻💪

Thanks to Cindy for continuing to work hard while I stood around and talked! 😃🤨🙊

None of you noticed our new coffee bar! It’s to the right of Barry’s desk, against the wall. Feel free to have a cup on us, if you’re wanting a hot coffee.

I had to do something with my coffee pot and supplies. After I was in the hospital for a week, I no longer could drink a cup a day. And no it wasn’t because the hospital coffee wasn’t good. lol! It was good! I just lost my taste for most coffee. So enjoy please!

See you all next week!

Special thanks to Amy Ekburg and her pretty daughter for dropping a bunch of pumpkins off this morning before we were even open. 🎃❤️. Also thank you so much to Valerie Toelle for dropping gourds off and Stephanie Morris for more pumpkins. 🎃 🍁🍂. Again Stephanie Ty for the gardening tips! 😂. I’m really going to try to grow some pumpkins next year!!!

Monthly Pickups

Moving forward, you will only be allowed to pick up monthly if you live further than 30 minutes away. We simply do not have the large bags of pet food to give away at one time.

We realize it is more convenient for a lot of people to come once a month. We do not have the room to store large quantities of pet food. If you work during our hours, please contact us. We will try to make other arrangements if possible.

This new rule affects only a handful of people, but it is almost 200 pounds of pet food. That is a lot of pet food. Belvidere, Harvard, Machesney Park are just a few of the municipalities that do not qualify.

Also, in the past, we let monthly families pick out the bag/s of food that they wanted. This last month that left us with only one selection for the weekly people. That is not fair. So again, moving forward, monthly people will be given what we have the most of.

Thank you for your understanding.

Calling all pumpkins!!! 😂

Let’s have some fall fun! We are surrounded by farmers and roadside stands at our little pet food pantry in Capron!

We’d like to decorate outside this fall with pumpkins, gourds, straw bales, corn stalks. It is likely some of our pet families are farmers themselves. If not, why not support the local pumpkin stands?!?

When you bring any one of the listed items above, you will receive either seven extra cans of wet cat food or an extra bag of dog treats, containing approximately 10 treats, per dog.

We would love for you to put your dog or cat’s paw print on the pumpkin along with your pet’s name.

Thank you! Now, let’s have some fun and see how many we can collect! 😻🎃🐶🎃

We will be needing straw bails to fill our winter cat shelters with. We’re also wanting a couple to decorate with in front of the pantry.

If anyone knows a farmer who has some for sale cheap or would like to donate them, please let us know!

Thank you!

Look where we finally got to visit! The Pet Gourmet! Located in Walworth, WI we were only 20 minutes away! So we packed up Oreo and off we went!

What a huge, amazing pet store, full of so many pet related items! We even were able to get Oreo’s birthday cake there, from the freezer.

Lexie, the owner, has supported our pet food pantry for so long, donating the best treats for our pet families! Oreo’s favorite! He’s a very picky eater, and the only kibble he likes is theirs! Baked in small batches and very healthy. I order it online and have it delivered.

The young lady pictured here with Doug and Oreo was super nice and helpful. She helped us pick out the chew bones that would be best for Oreo.

❤️❤️❤️🐶🐶🐶

Does anyone know of a place that sells worms that would be willing to give us their worm coolers? lol! We’d like to make a bunch of winter cat shelters for feral cats.

Or containers that frozen food gets delivered in? Medical supplies I understand also come in coolers.

Please hook us up! 🤓. Thank you!
