If the weather is not good outside, please stay in your cars until 10 am! Rain, snow, excessive heat or cold, please stay in your cars.

When we get to the pantry in the morning, we always have things we need to get done before we open. It makes it a lot harder, when people are lined up inside, especially when they are talking to us. Our pantry is small, and we don’t need to be walking around people, trying to get our jobs done.

We almost always open at 10. Occasionally we may be a few minutes late, but we need to get setup for the day. We open as soon as we are ready. Sometimes things take a bit longer than expected.

If you decide to stand outside, please don’t knock on our windows or doors to let you in. Also we’d appreciate it if you didn’t stare at us through the windows. lol!

I’m not trying to be mean. Just asking you to respect our hours. Retail stores don’t open their doors when people line up outside, for the same reasons.

If you don’t mind standing in bad weather, instead of waiting in the comfort of your cars, that’s your choice. You won’t get more pet food if you are the first in line. You’ll get the exact same amount as those who come in at 1:55, right before closing.

The pantry is similar to a retail store, not a garage sale. Thank you.

Almost 100 pounds of Kibbles ‘n Bits! Thank you so much to whomever this generous donor is! We repackage pet food into gallon slider bags. Each bag holds 3-4 pounds. Thirty dogs will benefit from your kindness. ❤️❤️❤️

PLEASE SHARE!!!

We are expanding our mission. ❤️

Our mission has always been to keep pets out of shelters. Shelters and rescues are all full…..beyond full. They are being stretched to their max, in every way. We want to do what we can, to help empty the shelters, as well as promote adoptions from private rescues.

When you come to us, you have to sign an application, that asks pet families who come to us for help feeding their current pets, not add to their pet family. Some shelters are now offering adoption specials on top of their already reasonable adoption fees. If you adopt from a shelter or rescue, just bring us your adoption papers.

Having said that, we will not accept new pets into our program, that have an adoption fee over $450. I don’t believe shelters and rescues should be asking for those high adoption fees, if they are truly in it for the animals, and not the greed.

DISTRIBUTION DAY VOLUNTEER NEEDED!

Every Tuesday from 10-2. Reliable volunteer needed! Requirements: No violent offenses on your record, ability to lift 30-40 pound bags of pet food on occasion, treat everyone with respect.

We are serving over 100 pet families now. Wow! We really could use the extra help. My volunteers have to work way too hard! lol! With an added person, the work load should be lessened quite a bit.

Thank you to Mary Saban, from our distribution crew, for coming in to help us in the mornings. Also to Amanda Verhagen, for helping out when we are short.

NEXT TUESDAY!!!

We'll be offering Stella & Chewy's Wild Red Raw Coated Prairie dog food, 3.5 pound bags, along with some Kibbles 'n Bits, Pedigree, and a few other brands we still have left from donations.

Thanks to the Rescue Pack for our pickup on August 1. They always provide high quality food for our pups in need. We received 588 pounds, so this should last us a couple of weeks.

In addition, pups will receive 2 bags of Wags & Wiggles meat slices per dog. We gave away ENTIRE boxes last week, which contained 24 bags! We ask if you still have some left from last week, to please not take more this week! 240 treats should last several weeks! lol!

Also, we have been giving away entire boxes of Temptations cat treats over the past couple of weeks. Each box contains 10 packages of treats. Again, these treats should last a very long time. Each cat received their very own box too! We ask that you please don't take any, while you still have some at home.

On occasion, we have to give away entire boxes of treats, in order to make room for our upcoming pet food pickups. We only have 700 sq. ft. at most, to store and distribute food, treats and supplies. We trust that you only take what you need when we start distributing our normal amount.

Please don't stockpile. We have new pet families coming in each week, as well as families who could not make it on the weeks of the big giveaways. We want every dog and cat to have treats along with their nutritious food. Let's think of our neighbors, and share. Thank you so much!
