Rotary Club of Canton

Rotary Club of Canton The Rotary Club of Canton offers members the opportunity for engagement through community service, networking and fellowship.

Since 1937, club members have supported projects in our community and around the world. Locally, we support youth programs including, Interact, Rotaract and RYLA. We work on projects with Habitat for Humanity, MUST Ministries, and the Salvation Army. We walk for ALS and Relay for Life, and assist senior citizens and support childhood literacy. Internationally, we support PolioPlus and the mission

of eradicating Polio. We support disaster relief programs in countries that have been impacted by recent tragedy, including Haiti and Japan, and we support hunger and nutrition initiatives in Guatemala and Africa. We believe in the mission of Georgia Rotary Student Program, “Peace is Possible”, and support many other programs that are important to our community and our members. We welcome you to join us and discover the spirit of Rotary in Canton, GA.

This week, we celebrated our local winners of the Laws of Life essay contest! Thanks to Sawyer Storm Goodrow, Honorable Mention Recipient, for allowing his mom to read his essay to our Club. Sawyer took questions from Club Members and shared about how an unfortunate situation actually taught him a valuable life lesson. 530 essays were written by Cherokee High School Students for this year’s contest! Amazing! Thank you to the teachers who supported this opportunity and to the Laws of Life Program Chair Canton Rotarian Angela Cortellino. Several Club Members also served as judges for the statewide competition. These students shared wisdom, vulnerability, and inspiration through their powerful essays. 💙
