Every day, blood products make the difference between life and death for patients experiencing severe trauma, medical emergencies, and other critical conditions. Through our partnership with LifeSouth Community Blood Centers, Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services is able to carry blood and begin lifesaving transfusions before patients ever reach the hospital.

Congratulations to the newest firefighters serving Cherokee County!

Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services proudly celebrated the graduation of 23 firefighter recruits Friday evening, marking the successful completion of nine months of intensive training.

This class was especially meaningful as it included nine recruits from the Woodstock Fire Department, GA, who trained alongside Cherokee County recruits from day one. Their shared experience reflects the strong partnership between our two departments and the teamwork that helps keep our community safe every day.

During the ceremony, recruits were recognized for outstanding achievements in fire and EMS training, heard words of encouragement from department leadership, and were officially welcomed into the fire service. Beginning Sunday, these newly sworn firefighters will begin serving the citizens and visitors of Cherokee County from fire stations across the county.

Please join us in congratulating these dedicated men and women as they begin their careers in the fire service. We also extend our sincere appreciation to their families, instructors, and everyone who supported them throughout this journey.

The mission of the Cherokee County Fire Chief’s Foundation is to:
