As Mental Health Month ends, caring for our mental well-being doesn’t end on May 31, it’s something we can practice every day. Here are a few simple ways to keep prioritizing mental health all year long:

-Stay connected: Reach out to friends and family in simple ways such as a quick text, a coffee meet-up, or a weekly check-in call.

-Check in with yourself: It’s okay to say “I’m not okay” and take steps to care for yourself.

-Move and recharge: Even small habits like a short walk, deep breathing, or restful sleep can make a difference.

-Practice self-compassion: Speak kindly to yourself and celebrate small wins.

-Reach out for support: Help is always available, and asking for it is a sign of strength.

By continuing these small, meaningful actions, we can build resilience, strengthen relationships, and create a culture where everyone feels supported. Let’s carry this momentum forward together.

We were honored to welcome the Sisters of Charity Foundation of Canton to our Samaritan’s Table for a meaningful day of service and community connection!

As they celebrate their 30th anniversary, their staff and board are giving back by volunteering with 10 organizations throughout the year and we were grateful to be one of them.

Thank you, Sisters of Charity Foundation of Canton, for supporting our mission and for helping serve our community today with hot meals and food giveaways. Your support makes a lasting impact for those we serve every day.

At our Canton campus, the second floor of Building A is one of our busiest spaces, but you’ll always find a calm, welcoming presence right at the front desk.

Kourtney VanHorn, Breana Rossen, and Nicole Tanner, our administrative engagement specialists, are often the very first faces our clients see. Whether someone is here for Medication-Assisted Treatment, counseling, group therapy, or screening services, this team meets each person with patience, kindness, and genuine care.

They do more than check people in, they help ease nerves, answer questions, and create a space where people feel safe, respected, and ready to take the next step in their journey.

Thank you, Kourtney, Breana, and Nicole, for the heart you bring to your work every day.

Hope everyone has a meaningful and relaxing Memorial Day spent with family and friends.

This day can bring a mix of emotions pride, reflection, grief, and remembrance. For veterans, service members, and their families, these feelings can be deeply personal. Take a moment to honor those who gave everything for our freedom, and if you or someone you love is struggling today, reach out and offer a little extra support.

Ever notice how much better you feel after a good night’s sleep? During Mental Health Month, one simple way we can share to support your mind is to unplug a little earlier in the evening.

Phones, TVs, and computers can keep your brain on high alert, making it harder to fully relax and get the deep rest you need. Giving yourself even 20–30 minutes without screens before bed can help your mind wind down naturally, leading to better sleep, improved mood, and clearer focus the next day.

And remember rest is important, but if you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or just not like yourself, it’s okay to reach out for support. You don’t have to handle it alone.

We’re here when you need us.

Hope Happens Here ❤️

Jeremy came to our men’s residential treatment program at Wilson Hall during one of the darkest times in his life. After the heartbreaking loss of his 25-year-old son, he fell off the wagon hard and entered treatment through a court order.

While in treatment, Jeremy connected with a powerful lead at our Monday night AA meeting and that someone later become his sponsor and a guiding force in his recovery. Through trauma-focused group counseling, Jeremy began to process his grief and rebuild his life piece by piece.

Today, Jeremy proudly celebrates his sobriety date: Feb. 1, 2025. He credits Wilson Hall with saving his life and shares a message of hope to others: if you’re willing to do the work, freedom and healing are possible.

If you’re a graduate of our recovery programs, or know someone who is, join us for the Wilson Hall Alumni AA Meeting: “Out of the Ashes.” This open meeting takes place every Monday at 7 PM on our Recovery Campus and offers a space for connection, support, and continued growth in recovery.

Special Meeting:
Make note, at the June 1 meeting we will be hosting a cookout from 5:30pm – 8:30pm. We’ll have burgers and hot dogs on the grill. Feel free to bring a pre-packaged side or dessert to share.
