📚 **November Book Club: The Book Club for Troublesome Women by Marie Bostwick.

It's 1963 in suburban Virginia. Margaret Ryan has what looks like the ideal life, but she feels something is missing. When she befriends Charlotte Gustafson, the two start a book club with Bitsy and Viv. Their first read is The Feminine Mystique, and it changes how they see their marriages, their ambitions, and themselves.

Set against the backdrop of 1963's major historical moments, this is a story about friendship, awakening, and the power of women who gather around a good book. A book club changing women's lives? We think this one is made for us!

🎉 Please join us in welcoming our newest Women's Impact member, Rachel Pittman! 🎉

Rachel is a Community Relations Specialist at Herzing University. She started her role earlier this year, and she says networking has quickly become one of her favorite parts of it.

She loves "the excitement of walking into a room not knowing who I'm going to meet," and the chance to reconnect with familiar faces. Those moments have shown her how valuable meaningful relationships can be, both personally and professionally.

Rachel is passionate about partnerships and about finding ways for us to support one another. She's looking for a community where she can grow, share ideas, and build genuine relationships with other women. She also wants to get more involved in her community. In her words, she sees Women's Impact as a chance "to connect with women who share that same spirit of collaboration, support, and growth," while contributing her own experiences and strengths.

Rachel, we're so glad you're here! Your enthusiasm for connection and collaboration fits right in with who we are. 💜

📚 Book Club is almost here! 📚

This month, we're reading Be Ready When the Luck Happens: A Memoir by Ina Garten. 🍀

Ina tells the story of how she went from a government job in Washington to buying a tiny specialty food shop called Barefoot Contessa. That shop led to her life as a bestselling cookbook author and TV host. Along the way she writes about taking risks, learning as she goes, and saying yes when opportunity shows up. It should spark good conversation about how we show up for our own luck.

You don't need to be a bookworm to join us. Listen to the audiobook, borrow it from the library, or skim a summary. We care more about connection and conversation than perfection.
