Native Plant Spotlight: Canadian Anemone (Anemonidium canadensis) ✨

Canadian anemone thrives in moist soils and loves a spot with part sun to light shade, though it can handle full sun with enough moisture. This hardy native perennial spreads naturally to form lush colonies of bright green foliage topped with delicate white blooms in late spring through summer. Perfect for rain gardens, woodland edges, and naturalized spaces where other plants may struggle with damp conditions. Pollinator-friendly, low maintenance, and beautifully wild. 🤍

Have you ever heard of Prairie Smoke? 🌾✨
This native wildflower to Michigan (Geum triflorum) looks almost magical once it goes to seed — its soft, feathery pink plumes create the smoky effect that gave the plant its name. Before that, it produces nodding rosy blooms that attract early pollinators in spring. Native to North American prairies, Prairie Smoke thrives in full sun, well-drained soil, and dry conditions, making it both beautiful and surprisingly tough. A perfect choice for native landscapes, rock gardens, and pollinator-friendly spaces!
