Rescheduled! Join us as we sustainably gather wild native seed at the Morton-Taylor Trailhead. We’ll use these seeds to supply our winter sowing workshops in January.

We will also be working on clearing woody invasives at the trailhead and along the trail.

Seed gathering supplies, gloves, and tools will be provided.

We’d love to see you at this tour!

Spurt is the leading certified compost and custom soil manufacturer in Southeast Michigan. On October 6 at 2 p.m., Spurt will offer a tour of its Wixom location (2041 Charms Road) for community members. Interested residents should RSVP by calling the Supervisor’s Office at 734/394-5185 by September 18. Please note that this is an outdoor tour, so dress appropriately.

Yesterday we had our first tabling event at the cantonfarmersmarketmi. A great opportunity for outreach to discuss the Monarch Blitz and discuss what’s better - caterpillars or butterflies?!?! A huge thank you to Rachel Marler Staves Rebecca Revvsart for all the work they put in to making this happen. We will be at more of the farmers markets later this summer so please keep an eye out for our table!

Join us for a workday at Zibiwés Nature Area (6125 N. Ridge Road) as we work together to remove invasive species and care for this important natural area. Volunteers will learn about invasive species management, the history of the site, and upcoming restoration work planned for the area.
We will be offering two workday sessions:
