Recovery ALIVE is a church based program that connects broken people to the Power, People and Process of the Christ-centered 12 steps.

Recovery ALIVE meets every Friday Night (Yes, even on holidays) at 7 pm @ Connection Church, 3855 S. Sheldon Rd, Canton, MI 48188. We also have meals at 6pm if you'd like to join us early and eat here! EVERY FRIDAY NIGHT
6:00 Optional Meal ($4 donation)
7:00 Main Meeting (worship followed by a testimony or lesson)
8:00 People Groups-working the steps together
9:00 Solid Rock Cafe - for snacks & chats!

"Let my love fill your heart and flow into the lives of others." This can be done in so many ways. On Friday we will see it first hand. We will hear a testimony and through the speaker, God's love will flow into us too

Pizza will be on the menu. Full disclosure, it is planned to be on the menu for the remainder of the month as our cook rests and heals from surgery. It may not be ideal, but we value the fellowship meal this much that we don't want to postpone the meals until our more diverse menu can resume.

Looking ahead:

-Process groups are planned to begin on the last Friday of October (30th) during our normal meeting hours.

-Chili cook-off in November, details will be provided once finalized.

Can you believe that RA at Connection Church has completed its first year?!?! On Friday we will start right back over with lessons on step one. That doesn't mean that you lose your progress or your recovery starts over. It means you work it deeper, you find other areas of recovery to work the 12 steps.

Also, if you are looking for a regular church to attend, we invite you to attend Connection Church's One Family Picnic this Sunday at 10am. It is one service outside with a picnic to follow. Hot dogs and chicken will be provided and you are encouraged to bring a side to accompany the meat and a beverage.

Just over a year ago we posted this picture and asked you to place any hurt, habit or hangup in the blank space. It was our official launch of RA at Connection Church. Over the past year we had talks on the 12 steps of recovery, this Friday we will have our last talk of our first year. This will conclude our talks on step 12. What places did your recovery go over this last year? What about that hurt, habit or hangup you filled the blank space- where are you on that recovery journey?

Maybe you haven't been able to join us in a little bit, maybe you fell to complacency. How about joining us again. Get back in and ready to go as we start over our talks on the 12 steps in September! You are missed and always welcome.

Spoiler alert- this Friday chains are breaking (ok well MORE chains are breaking because our Jesus is always breaking chains at RA!) our very own Kristen has given her recovery story before in secular groups. But she has had to water down the role of our God to be respectful of the group's guidelines. Friday she gets to share her full thoughts, her full story, her TESTIMONY!
