We have a holiday weekend coming up! Do you have your Relapse Prevention Plan set? Sponsor number on deck? Meetings lined up you can attend? Recovery doesn’t take holidays off — and neither should our spiritual maintenance. One meeting, one prayer, one phone call can change the direction of your entire weekend.

Here’s how to build a simple Relapse Prevention Plan:

• Identify your triggers ahead of time
(Holidays, loneliness, family stress, boredom, parties, isolation, overconfidence)

• Have support ready
Keep your sponsor’s number close and let trusted recovery people know if you’re struggling.

• Schedule your meetings BEFORE the weekend starts
Online meetings count too. Don’t wait until temptation hits.

• Make a plan for cravings
Pray. Call someone. Leave unsafe environments. Read literature. Go for a walk. Worship. Journal.

• Avoid high-risk places and people
Protect your peace. “Just stopping by” can become a relapse quickly.

• Keep your mind spiritually fed
Prayer, Scripture, meetings, service work, podcasts, devotionals — stay connected.

• Have an emergency action plan
If your thinking starts shifting, act immediately instead of sitting in it alone.

Recovery is not just about avoiding substances — it’s about protecting the life God is rebuilding. Stay close, stay honest, and stay connected this weekend.

We’d love to have you join us in person Friday night, but if you can’t make it- check out this link to Recovery Alive Inc for an online option!

Every recovery is different, every testimony is different. They are just like fingerprints. That is why we urge you to relate and don't compare your recovery journey to another. Practice this principle on Friday as we listen to a testimony of a changed life!

As we near our Mother of All Bake Sales. We could use help on Saturday between 9am and 4pm to repackage baked goods for our sale. Also, if you feel led to, consider making a baked good and bring it on Friday to sell on Mother's Day.

TAKING CARE OF YOUR MENTAL HEALTH ISN’T SELFISH—
IT’S STEWARDSHIP 💚

“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit… Therefore honor God with your bodies.” — 1 Corinthians 6:19–20

You can’t pour from an empty cup.
Caring for your mind is part of honoring the life God has entrusted to you.
So no need to feel guilty about taking the time, the resources, the effort and the space to care for your mental health - that's not selfish that's stewardship, friends!

Our Mother of All Bake Sales is coming up on Mother's Day. If you feel led to bless our ministry with support, there are several ways to do this:

-- Bake some goodies and drop them off either this Saturday (May 2nd) between 9am and 3pm OR during RA on Friday May, 9th.
-- Help in the kitchen this Saturday (May 2nd) between 9am and 3pm with mini cheesecakes.
-- Helping with set up and repackaging items (great for those with an artistic eye)
-- Stopping by on Mother's Day and purchasing a goody.
-- Praying over the bake sale and that the baked goods bless the recipients.

Your support on this is beyond appreciated and is a great way to bless our community by spreading the love of Recovery ALIVE! If you have any questions, please reach out to Nancy (message this page for contact information)
