CAIR-MI is proud to announce the release of our new Safety Toolkit for Mosques, Islamic Schools, and Religious Centers.

This practical resource is designed to help organizations take a proactive approach to safety and preparedness—from assessing physical security and establishing emergency roles to responding to suspicious behavior, threatening communications, and active threats.

The toolkit includes self-assessment checklists, practical planning tools, and easy-to-follow action flowcharts that can be used to train staff and volunteers and strengthen safety procedures before an emergency occurs.

As Muslim students head back to K–12 classrooms this fall, early communication can help create a more supportive and inclusive school experience.

Parents: connect with teachers and administrators early, discuss your child’s religious needs—including prayer, Ramadan, Eid, halal food, PE, swimming, and religious attire—and help your child build confidence in speaking up for themselves.

Strong school partnerships begin with communication, trust, and keeping your child’s success at the center.

(08/24/2026) CAIR-MI Welcomes decision made by the U.S District Court to dismiss the lawsuit against Washtenaw County. This decision protects the rights and liberties of Michigan residences under the Tenth Amendment.

CAIR-MI is calling for an end to anti-Muslim hate rhetoric after our office received multiple death threats amid a broader surge in anti-Muslim harassment.

Threats and intimidation have no place in Michigan or anywhere in our nation. We urge public officials, community leaders, and law enforcement to take anti-Muslim hate seriously and stand against rhetoric that fuels violence.

CAIR-MI is deeply concerned by reports of K*K propaganda being distributed in Dearborn Heights and Melvindale following recent anti-Muslim and white supremacist activity in the area.

Hate and intimidation have no place in our communities. We stand with all those confronting Islamophobia, antisemitism, anti-Black racism, xenophobia, white supremacy, and all forms of bigotry.
