CAIR-MI raises serious concerns over the removal of the “Voices for Palestinians” Adopt-A-Road sign and what it means for free speech, viewpoint neutrality, and Palestinian humanity in Oakland County.

Meet the next generation of leaders. 🌱✨

We’re excited to introduce our SLDP interns — a talented group of young people ready to grow in advocacy, communications, civic engagement, and community leadership through CAIR-MI’s Summer Leadership Development Program.

Throughout the program, they’ll be learning, creating, asking hard questions, and building the skills needed to serve their communities with purpose.

Help us welcome this year’s SLDP cohort! 💙

CAIR-MI calls on the Oakland County Road Commission to reject any biased attempt to target lawful community expression or silence voices advocating for Palestinian humanity.
Adopt-A-Road signs recognize a basic act of public service: keeping our roads clean. They should not be politicized, mischaracterized, or falsely linked to violence simply because the word “Palestine” appears on them.
We stand against efforts to dehumanize Palestinians and suppress advocacy for their rights.

CAIR-MI Speaks Out Against Anti-Palestine Bias of Oakland Co. Exec.

We strongly object the recent comments of the Oakland County Executive who is calling for the removal of the voices of Palestinian Adopt-A-Signs throughout Oakland County. "We don't believe that, in the spirit of civil rights in America, there should be any ethnic supremacy" and "We believe that Palestinian voices are equal and should be respected in Oakland County just like other voices".

🚨 VICTORY FOR PROTECTED ADVOCACY 🚨
CAIR-MI welcomes the Wayne County Circuit Court’s second ruling dismissing claims against CAIR-MI and Lead Staff Attorney Amy V. Doukoure, Esq.
⚖️ The message is clear:
Lawful representation, public advocacy, and protected speech cannot be twisted into retaliation.
💪 This case was an apparent attempt to chill CAIR-MI’s advocacy and target the organization for doing its job diligently and effectively. The Court rejected that attempt — again.
📢 CAIR-MI will not be stopped because someone is unhappy with the strength or impact of our advocacy.
We will continue standing with community members, small business owners, families, workers, and students facing discrimination, harassment, unequal treatment, and government overreach.
