CGgirls CGgirls is a non-profit ministry creating spaces for women to grow and be encouraged in Christ.

We host free qtrly Common Ground: Girls Night w/ a God Focus gatherings and EST.HER: For Such a Time As This events empowering women to walk in God's Purpose. CGgirls meet four times a year in Canton, MI for a night filled with dynamic, live worship, outreach, and an afterparty: a Girl's night with a God focus. Women attend from over 80 different churches in the Metro Detroit area.

A big part of being established in the Kingdom is generational impact. When we talk about generational impact, we don’t limit that to just women in our families. Our influence as women is far reaching and it can affect another woman’s life, regardless of age, in dramatic ways.

Our women’s event EST.HER encourages women who are in Christ to use that influence to establish His Kingdom.

We asked our worship leader speakers, and host to share with us a woman who made an impact on their lives.

Meet Rachel Williams, our single speaker.

When asked to name a woman who has made an impact on her life she responded:

“Norma, my Mom.”

“She has been an example for me of faithfulness to Jesus. She homeschooled me and I have memories of waking up in the morning to find her praying on her knees in the living room. She poured the word into me at an early age and made sure that’s what we were reading first every day. My mom has been an example to me of faithfulness to Jesus above other desires and her sacrificial life is one I aspire to.”

Meet Mary Yeager Mary Yeager, MSPT, CST-T , our empty nester speaker.

When asked to name a woman who has made an impact on her life she responded:

“Nancy Beard Barra”

“I was 28 years old and a brand new mom to my 2week old son. One afternoon I answered a knock at my front door, baby in my arms and without a doubt looking exhausted from navigating this new season of motherhood.

Nancy Barra was at my front door with business cards for a new church - TriCity - that was built and ready to have its first service the following Sunday.

She told me her husband was the pastor and invited me and my family to attend.

At that point in my life - I didn’t know Jesus, didn’t go to church. Nancy didn’t talk about Jesus that day, she didn’t have to . . . she carried Him.

I told my husband, “If we ever decided to attend church one day, I would want to give TriCity a try. There was something about this woman Nancy, she was not like any other Christian I had ever met. She was so kind and authentic. I was quite literally drawn to her.

Two years later we began attending TriCity. During those very formative years as a new Christian, Nancy was a constant encouragement to me. I am forever grateful.”

We gathered our EST.HER speaking team today and wow…we are even more excited about what the Lord is doing in the hearts of women.

Thank you to Lacey Adamczyk for sharing such good info on speaking tips and encouraging us in the platform the Lord is trusting us with.

We ended with a time of prophetic prayer and it was a blessing. To be seen by the Father and encouraged by Him colors our world with vibrant beauty. We can’t wait for 10.10.26! For such a time as this!

When asked to name a woman who has made an impact on her life she responded:

“Geni Brooks”

“The weekend of our first wedding anniversary, my husband accepted a job across the country in Dallas, TX. As we got settled we started attending a local church, and got involved in their marriage ministry. This was a large church, but the founding pastor’s wife, Geni, made an intentional decision to speak into my life as a young wife. She would check in on me often, and even invited me into a small group she led for wives.

This was a pivotal season for me as a wife. I was learning what it meant to follow the lead of my husband, how to have difficult conversations with him, and how to keep my tongue in check. Geni was a listening ear several times and always gave Godly advice. Watching how she supported her husband’s ministry, while still having a ministry of her own, was encouraging to me. Thank you Geni for being intentional in leading up a young wife in the ways of the Lord!”

When asked to name a woman who has made an impact on her life she responded:

“I would say my mom. Her name is Natalie Williams and how her life drew me to Jesus was just through consistency and persistence. Her ability to endure the many trials of life and me, let me know that she has a foundation in Christ. She wasn’t perfect as none of us are but her unwavering faith and belief in the Lord encouraged me then and still encourages me today.

I pray that my daughter will see me and her grandma and that our lives would also encourage her in her faith.”

When asked to name a woman who has made an impact on her life she responded:

“The woman in my life who has had a prominent spiritual hand in my life is my grandma, Kathleen Nokovich. On numerous occasions, I have witnessed my grandma going to war for friends, family, and complete strangers. In hard times for my family, she consistently had her eyes turned towards Jesus, and praise for him lived on her lips. She is a steady and persistent pillar in my life. And by her persistence, I was placed an environment that aided in my growth in relationship and love for The Lord.”
