Calling all heroes! 🚒🚓🚑 We’re collecting first responder patches from across the country, and we need your help!

In the first responder community, patches are more than just a part of the uniform. They represent service, pride, and the special bond shared by those who dedicate their lives to protecting others. Trading patches is a long-standing tradition that connects first responders across departments and communities.

This December, the Gary Sinise Foundation is bringing families of fallen first responders to Walt Disney World for our annual Disney in December event, and we need your help making it extra special!

Throughout the event, over 700 children will have the opportunity to collect and trade patches from departments across the country. Each patch is a reminder of the incredible community standing behind them and honoring their loved one's service and sacrifice. 💙

Want to send a patch? Please make sure it arrives by Friday, November 13, at:

Gary Sinise Foundation
Attn: National Outreach Team
PO Box 680819
Franklin, TN 37068

Help us remind them that they will always be part of the first responder family! 🇺🇸

🔥 OCTOBER IS FIRE PREVENTION MONTH! 🚒

The Camden Fire Department reminds everyone that fire safety starts at home. Take a few minutes this month to test your smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, review your family’s escape plan, and ensure everyone knows what to do in an emergency.

Small steps today can make a lifesaving difference tomorrow.

PLAN. PREPARE. PREVENT.

🚨 In an emergency, always call 911.

Brotherhood in Action – Thank You, Firefighter Nelson Hidalgo

Local 788 would like to recognize and sincerely thank Firefighter Nelson Hidalgo for his generous donation of a raffle basket for today’s Captain Howard Bennett fundraiser.

What makes this gesture especially meaningful is that Nelson is dealing with the recent loss of his own father, who passed away just several days ago. Even during such a difficult time for himself and his family, Nelson still wanted to make sure he contributed something to support Howard’s family and today’s event.

That speaks volumes about the type of person Nelson is and what the brotherhood of the fire service is truly about — being there for one another, even when you are carrying your own grief.

Nelson, thank you for your generosity, your thoughtfulness, and your continued support of your brothers and sisters.

Our thoughts and prayers remain with Nelson and the entire Hidalgo family during their time of loss.
