Little farmacies, big impact

Every day in Havana’s most vulnerable neighborhoods, something beautiful is happening. Con Razon Cuba has been opening tiny community‑run farmacies — small but mighty spaces where neighbors look after neighbors. Each one is led by local community leaders who know exactly who needs help most.

And it doesn’t stop there. Together, we’re creating laundry jobs for single moms, transportation support for elders and medical needs, and other small projects that make a huge difference in daily life.

One of the initiatives we love most is their backyard garden projects—transforming small home spaces into thriving mini gardens where families grow their own fruits and vegetables. It’s a beautiful, sustainable way to strengthen both community and self-sufficiency.

At Con Razón, we are proud to partner with Colibri Travel and Tours to turn travel into meaningful support for our community 🇨🇺

This week, a group of travelers from Maine arrived through Colibri carrying soccer shoes, medical supplies, and generous donations for the children of the Husillo community. Their visit is a beautiful reminder that tourism can create real connections and direct impact.

We are deeply thankful to these travelers for their generosity and for standing with the families and children we serve. Together, we continue building bridges of support, kindness, and hope. ❤️

⚽🌊 Overwhelmed by the amount of trash on La Co**ha Beach, the young champions of La casita del Husillo took action. Invited by Vivo Cuba and the Nautilus FBIO-UH group, they joined forces to clean the beach and protect the ocean. 💪♻️

🎉 End of Summer Celebration in Husillo! 🎉

This past weekend, Con Razon hosted a joyful end-of-summer celebration in the heart of the Husillo community! Our incredible staff came together to prepare delicious food, refreshing drinks, and vibrant performances that brought smiles to every corner of La casita del Husillo.

As we wrap up our first year, we’re filled with gratitude and pride. Together, we’ve supported: ⚽ The youth soccer program 🍽️ Daily meals for children without stable access to food 💃 A thriving dance program 💼 A youth employment initiative that’s opening doors for the future

Thank you to everyone who has stood with us, donated, volunteered, and cheered us on. The energy in Husillo is electric—and this is just the beginning.
