Dear Friends of FOP Lodge # 27, It is with Great Sadness that our Lodge has lost one of its Members. Captain Ronald S. Hinson of the Cambridge Police Department, passed away while he was working on September 21st, 2026. He was a 26 year Veteran of the Cambridge Police Department, and served in the United States Marines. He was also a member of our Lodge for 26 years. He was well respected within the department and the community and served with Honor during his years in Law Enforcement. He will be missed by the Law Enforcement Officers of not only Cambridge PD but of all the departments of Dorchester County, the Eastern Shore. and also those who knew him across the State of Maryland. He leaves behind his wife and 5 children and other family members who loved him. He will be missed by all that knew him.

Our organization is asking our friends to help his family with donations to cover Funeral Expenses and other costs that they will have in the coming weeks and months. We will be giving towards this ourselves, and welcome any others that are also willing to give. We will keep track of those who donate and give your information to his family unless you wish it to be anonymous. Please send in your Donation to:
