Friends of Inks Lake SP is a non-profit to promote all nature related activities in the park, support staff and volunteers. A charity that takes donations to support financial needs for the park that are not met by the State.

Great news!
The Burn Ban has been lifted!
Wood and charcoal fires are allowed in designated fire pits and grills.
Remember:
🔥 Never leave fires unattended.
🔥 Always extinguish your fire completely before going to bed.

Today, the Wildflower Meadow Senior center came to visit. We had a wonderful Birding session, led by Krista Paul, Friends of Inks Lake State Park volunteer, and Lakes Master naturalist.

FOIL volunteers Glenda, Greg, Sue, Cindy, Karen S, Karen B, Steph, Jeff and Susan participated in today's Kayak Trash Pickup. Weather was perfect with the sounds of Kingfishers and Osprey flying by. We even saw quite a few Monarchs on the Smooth Beggarticks. Not much trash today...Lake is clean!!

What a beautiful day for a kayak tour! This one was the final tour of the season. We will see you next Spring! Thank you "kayak guide crew" for helping out with these tours and making it a successful program.

🥾 Veteran’s Day Hike at Inks Lake State Park! 🥾🇺🇸
Join us on November 11, 2026 at 9 AM for a special guided hike from Devil’s Waterhole Trail to the Valley Springs Waterfall, led by Matt Jary — U.S. Army Veteran & Texas Master Naturalist. 🌄✨
Let’s honor those who served while enjoying the beauty of the Hill Country!

The hike is just over a mile long and will take about 1.5 hours to complete.

Our volunteers participated in our monthly Park Maintenance Day. We pulled alot of weeds! Thank you Julie, Cindy, Kaye, Greg, Kerry, Karen and Steph!
