As the moon waxes pink and full again after its recent new moon totality two weeks ago, the cosmic dust is settling, revealing the magic beneath. We're brushing off the last remnants of mud, a testament to the wild journey we've shared in Texas. Our heartfelt thanks extend to every soul who graced this gathering with their presence, making it a tapestry of wonder.
Navigating the intricacies of a first-time event at a new venue during an eclipse was no small feat. With all the parties involved, we for sure checked all the boxes at knowing what to do and how to do it. However, aligning that checklist into a reality on paper and then in real life for the first time without a practice run was bound for a serious case of the hiccups. Collaborating with our global community, Disco Donnie and the whole Disco Presents crew, and the emerging Probably Nothing crew added layers of complexity. Yet, it's these challenges that fuel our collective spirit, pushing us to transcend what we thought possible.
While some of us at Symbiosis have danced through numerous new venues in remote realms, each experience remains a fresh adventure. Our gathering thrived with artistic talents weaving their magic—musicians, teachers, builders, and visual artists converging to cocreate a cultural mosaic. Imperfect yet authentic, our efforts stemmed from a place of genuine sharing, rooted in the essence of communal celebration.
To those who faced hurdles or felt the sting of disappointment, whether longtime community members or newfound adventurers drawn into our cosmic orbit, we extend our sincere apologies. Every journey has its bumps, and we hope amidst it all, you found moments of inspiration and connection.
This Cosmic Event was a testament to unity in diversity, a tapestry woven with each person's unique thread. Disco Donnie and the whole Disco Presents team worked tirelessly to help bring the vision to life, navigating challenges with grace akin to threading needles in a Texas windstorm. Amidst wrangling rattlers and crafting makeshift havens in the Hill Country, we witnessed the alchemy of collaboration.
Weather, a force beyond our control, altered our plans, yet safety prevailed. And although everyone did not get to enjoy the last 30 hours of planned programming, the shared experience in the days leading up to that moment of celestial alignment united us in spirit. We are happy that the clouds did part long enough, for those of us in the area, to be able to still witness and stand in the shadow together as one. It was hard to feel the unity behind it with energy moving towards safer places with weather coming in but it was still felt, and the main event did happen if onsite or in the surrounding area, and all of us are so thankful for that moment to be there in the pilgrimage that we all took part in.
We would love to thank Disco Donnie and the whole Disco Presents team for not only taking on a crazy task but also dealing with all us outlaws and eventually aligning not only with the Eclipse but also aligning as one family by the end of it. Another special thanks to the Probably Nothing Team for bringing everyone together, having the dream and being the glue for the process as we can't have Form without Space so Nothing as the glue seemed fitting. A very special thank you to Reveille Peak Ranch for hosting us all and helping us shape the site into a much more hospitable place for the masses to gather and share in, a sanctuary of hospitality, embracing us all, nurturing our gathering with open arms. The team stewarding this special land is very open to all walks of life and caring for the land people and all beings who call it home, it was such an honor to work alongside them on this project.
Then of course, thanks to Burnet County and all the adjacent agencies that helped make this gathering happen collectively and safely for all.
Thanks to all of our Symbiosis extended community and the Collaborators that came out to make the gathering special.
Then most of all, thanks for all the patrons, guests, and eclipse chasers that believed in this gathering, whether it was your first time or you were trusting in us again. We really could not host these things without you and your support for what we keep attempting to pull together in different corners of our little rock we call home. Together, we'll keep kindling these fires of creativity and connection in every corner of our shared cosmos.
With love always….
