With the New World Screwworm fly becoming an increasingly problematic reality here in Texas. We we would love to provide some extra protection for our outdoor cats. Our amazing Doodle Doctor, Natalia Katalenas Lord has advised that Vectra for cats could reduce the risks of infestation.

We would love to have a good supply to get us through a few months until the situation can be handled be the State. We are pretty sure they are on top of it.

Until then. Our cats could use some extra protection. Vectra is an affordable over the counter topical treatment that can be purchased without a prescription. Its been added to our Amazon Wishlist if any of our supporters would like to help out in giving a little extra armor for our kitties.

Fingers crossed this will pass shortly for our fur families and livestock.

Hello friends and followers. We are reaching out today on this Wishlist Wednesday to request donations of dry and moist foods, as our enclosures are currently at full capacity and our feline residents are in need of sustenance. Yesterday, our Llano colony exhausted its food supply, but a partial bag in my work locker was available to sustain them for the day. Mali and Oscar have dental issues that require specialized care, including a diet of pate wet food. Our family of mini-panthers is thriving, consuming a significant amount of kibble and enjoying a daily serving of moist food. As summer approaches, we are seeking cooling fans to provide relief from the heat and mosquitoes. A larger stand-up fan or an additional medium-sized fan would be beneficial in this regard. With the warmer temperatures, fleas have become a growing concern, and we are in need of adult/larger cat doses of flea medication to supplement our existing supply. Our top priority is securing funding for Oscar and Mali's dental care, particularly Mali, whose teeth are in critical need of attention. We are deeply grateful for the ongoing support and prayers from our community, recognizing that a collective effort is necessary to ensure the well-being of our feline friends.

Sandor has been a surprising addition. His initial demeanor, characterized as mellow during his time at the colony, has given way to a more dynamic personality upon release. We drew inspiration from Sandor Clegane, a Game of Thrones character, who transformed from a formidable figure to a heroic individual. Our Sandor, anticipated to be a robust cat, has instead revealed a gentle and affectionate nature. He displays affection by bumping heads and licking the cats he meets, without exhibiting any hostility. During morning feeding, he enters the cat room with ease, as if he owns the space. It appears he was previously a companion cat that was abandoned and overlooked. As a result, he is an ideal candidate for placement in a home, where he would undoubtedly flourish. We would be pleased to have him join our yard residents. Nevertheless, if someone is willing to offer him a better life indoors, we would be happy to arrange a meeting. Sandor is welcome to stay with us, alas we are concerned for the safety of our outdoor cats, especially in light of the recent disappearances.

Sandor has proven to be a remarkable character with a heart of gold.
