Your dedication to teaching, engaging, and truly connecting with our scholars made a meaningful difference. We appreciate the way you met each child where they were, encouraged them to grow, and made learning fun along the way. We are so grateful for the love, laughter, and commitment you brought to our Freedom School family.

Cornysha Davis, also known as Ms. Davis The rula⭐️, is our next servant leader intern to head back to school bringing an end to an amazing summer.

She will be perusing her Masters Degree at Rowan University Rowan University studying nutrition & health! 🎉

We truly appreciated touring the studio and learning about the journey of building and growing a creative, community-focused business. Hearing directly about the realities, challenges, and rewards of being a business owner made the experience especially meaningful.

Week 2: I CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN MY FAMILY! This week was filled with growth, learning, and memorable experiences!

Scholars strengthened their read-aloud skills, building confidence as they found their voices. We also focused on wellness through meditation and yoga, encouraging mindfulness and self-care.

Family Night featured a thought-provoking and inspiring presentation from Chase Bank, providing valuable financial insights for our families.

We wrapped up an incredible week with an exciting adventure to the Cape May Zoo, where scholars explored wildlife, learned about conservation, and created lasting memories together!

An unforgettable day at The Opportunity Freedom School—We were honored to welcome Governor Mikie Sherrill Governor Mikie Sherrill who read “I Am We” with our scholars and shared a powerful message about belonging, community and what we can accomplish when we work together.

Thank you Governor Sherrill and your team for reminding our students that they are seen, their voices matter and they are an important part of “we”.

🗓️Week 1 is complete, and history has been made!

We proudly launched the first Freedom School in Burlington County, NJ! This week, scholars celebrated National Day of Social Action, learned about the Underground Railroad with special guest Debbie Price, and built community through learning, creativity, and fun.

A special thank you to Tabernacle Baptist Church for graciously hosting us this summer and helping make this historic program possible.

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing Servant Leader Interns for your energy, leadership, and dedication. You made our scholars feel welcomed, supported, and inspired from day one!
