Alamance County Sheriff's Office reports:
Burlington Man Facing Felony Charges Of Alleged Theft At Burlington Shrine Club
On Friday, December 5, 2025, Detectives with the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division were requested to follow up on a Breaking and Entering at the Burlington Shrine Club on Plantation Drive in Burlington.
The stolen vehicles were a part of the Shriners Fire Brigade normally seen in parades.
During the investigation, it determined that three (3) custom-made go-karts, a Kawasaki minibike, and three (3) Predator/212cc engines were stolen. The reporting party informed Detectives that the go-karts were for sale on Facebook Marketplace. The Facebook Marketplace post was located.
As a result of the investigation, Detectives identified Na’mir Antonio Hunt as the suspect. Mr. Hunt was determined to be the person who listed the go-karts for sale. During an interview, Mr. Hunt, stated to Investigators that he did in fact post the go-karts on Facebook Marketplace for sale.
Mr. Hunt was taken into custody and charged with three (3) counts of Felony Possession of Stolen Goods/Property.
After continuing investigations, Mr. Hunt was additionally charged with Felony Breaking and or Entering, Felony Larceny of Motor Vehicle (4), Felony Larceny After Breaking and or Entering, Felony Possession of Stolen Goods/Property (4). Mr. Hunt turned himself in on Thursday December 11, 2025
