Our annual women(followers) lead the men(leaders)dance at Rueda in the Park’s Anniversary Party. Always a fun time and a great reminder that it takes skill to be a good follower and/or leader.

Our anniversary party will be announced later this year but is usually around July or August.

🚨 Don’t Miss This, Sky Lovers! 🌙
In the early hours of Tuesday, March 3, the Moon will slip into Earth’s shadow during a breathtaking Total Lunar Eclipse, turning a rich reddish-copper color across much of the United States.

This happens when the Sun, Earth, and Moon line up perfectly, with Earth in the middle. Instead of going completely dark, the Moon glows red because sunlight bends through our atmosphere and softly lights its surface — the same effect that gives us colorful sunrises and sunsets.
No telescope needed. Just step outside, look up, and enjoy.

🌅 Special treat for the East Coast: Just before sunrise, some locations could witness a rare Selenelion — a short window when both the rising Sun and the eclipsed Moon appear above the horizon together. It’s a beautiful optical effect caused by atmospheric refraction, and it doesn’t last long!

⏰ Check your local viewing times and head out a little early to let your eyes adjust to the dark.

Moments like this remind us how incredible the sky can be — quiet, powerful, and unforgettable. Don’t sleep through it! 🌌

I don’t know about you but I barely recovered from all the fun from the Beach Party!

Thank you to all who came out to support our 21st Anniversary! It’s amazing that we’ve lasted this long but it goes to show what a wonderful supportive community we have.

I’d like to thank Reva Sober with Rueda In The Park- Culver City who always supports and enthusiastically encourages people to come and learn rueda de casino.

I’d like to thank Juan Alvarez and Soraya for coming and doing the same for the community in Orange County and joining and supporting Rueda in the Park.

I’d also like to thank Johnny who does the same over in Santa Clarita. And a big thank you to Jonathan Kraut who couldn’t make It this year and has always been a supporter of RITP and a big help but was with us there in spirit.

And a big thank you to Rocio for also promoting Rueda in the Park and the cuban dance community at large.

And finally a big thank you to Kafu Tomi and Curuye.com also for the love and support to Rueda in the Park and the cuban dance community at large and coming out for a bit. Gracias corazon!

We are a small community but strong for our love for la musica cubana, casino/rueda de casino y la Cultura Cubana. And we couldn’t do it without you.

So thank you to all who came out, brought the delicious food, just came to visit briefly to say hi and dance a little, and those who helped clean up afterwards.

Here’s to more fun dance filled years with Rueda in the Park ! Una bulla!
