📢 BAEF'S 2026 FALL GRANT APPLICATIONS OPEN TODAY!📢

Burbank Arts & Education Foundation is offering individual grants up to $5,000 to BUSD administrators, teachers, staff members, and more.

Do you need funding to bring your special program, project, or learning environment to life? This is your chance to make it happen!

Past grants have supported things like:

We're celebrating the start of a new school year and everyone who makes it possible: teachers who have worked hard preparing their classrooms, students beginning a new grade, and parents keeping schedules, supplies, and everything else on track.

At Burbank Arts & Education Foundation, we believe every student deserves access to the arts and enriched learning opportunities that make a lasting impact. This year, we're proud to continue supporting Burbank schools so students have the resources they need to thrive.

The Burbank Arts & Education Foundation is excited to announce a new name and a new energy for our signature annual event, formerly known as State of the Schools. This year's theme, The Power of Community, reflects what BAEF is all about: neighbors, families, educators, and local businesses coming together to invest in Burbank's students.

The 2026 Celebration of Schools honors the students, educators, and programs of Burbank Unified School District, with a special spotlight on the grants that community support has made possible.

We are thrilled to announce that Jennifer Lorigo has been named the new Executive Director of Burbank Arts & Education Foundation!

Jennifer is a familiar face to our community. She has served on the BAEF Board since 2021, most recently as Chair, where she led organizational strategy, oversaw budgeting and fundraising, and built strong partnerships with BUSD leadership, school principals, and community stakeholders. She knows this organization and its mission inside and out.

Beyond her board leadership, Jennifer is the founder of Jennifer Lorigo Children's Theater, where she has developed and delivered in-classroom arts programming for TK-5 students within Burbank schools. She has seen firsthand how access to the arts builds confidence, creativity, and connection in young people, which is exactly the kind of impact BAEF exists to support.

As Board Chair, Jennifer has been a champion for BAEF's full program portfolio, understanding that every student deserves access to a well-rounded education, whether that means arts, STEM, athletics, wellness, or professional development for BUSD educators. That commitment to the whole student is what drives her work.

She also brings a strong background in fundraising, donor stewardship, event management, and operational leadership, giving her a wide range of experience to help BAEF grow its reach across the Burbank community.
