We provide a local sustainable source of heat to those who come in need. We are open Nov 1 - April 1 We are located at 97 US Hwy East in Buffalo, Wyoming.

Clear Creek Wood Bank was formed to provide a supplement heat source to those who heat their homes with wood and are unable to afford or physically perform the act of making firewood. We coordinate with foresters, a local timber business, and private forest landowners to collect, cut, and give firewood that has been sustainably harvested from the Bighorn Mountains. We provide a limited amount of firewood once a week, until we run out for the winter. Clear Creek Wood Bank will be open weekly November 1st - April 1st, on Tuesdays from 2:00 - 4:00 pm. Vision: Ensure no one ever has to choose between eating and heating. Mission: We provide a local, sustainable source of heat to those in need.

It's November 1st! That means Clear Creek Wood Bank will be opening this Tuesday, November 3rd for the winter season! Our volunteers are trained and ready to help load vehicles with dry firewood.

Few reminders as we go into our 5th winter of operation:
1) Families showing up early, please line up so volunteers and other businesses can access the area.
2) Please drive slowly and watch for people. We have volunteers of all ages helping at the wood bank.
3) Be aware that it can get muddy and slippery; we want everyone to be safe.
4) If this is your first visit or 50th, our volunteers are here to help! We will have volunteers checking each family in, directing vehicles, and helping to load firewood.

We look forward to another season of keeping families warm, through sustainably harvested wood from the Big Horn Mountains.

A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Volunteers!

Clear Creek Wood Bank would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the incredible volunteers who have already helped prepare for next winter by processing all of our firewood.

13 dedicated volunteers generously gave their time, skills, and hard work to turn logs into firewood. Together, they processed an estimated 155–175 cords of firewood over 22 work sessions between early May and early July.

Their commitment and teamwork ensured families in our community have access to firewood when they need it most. Thank you for making a meaningful difference!
