Small changes can make a big difference. 🦌

In Wyoming's Red Desert, even the smallest travelers deserve a safe path. This pronghorn fawn is able to move safely beneath a wildlife-friendly fence, something that wasn't possible when this fence was woven wire.

Simple improvements like wildlife-friendly fencing help keep migration routes connected and give Wyoming's wildlife the freedom to move safely for generations to come.

Every conservation project moves us one step closer to a healthier future for wildlife.

🦌 Wyoming's mule deer are an icon of the American West and an essential part of the state's wild heritage.

Did you know Wyoming is home to the world's longest documented mule deer migration? Every year, mule deer travel incredible distances between their seasonal ranges, relying on healthy habitat, connected migration corridors, and safe wildlife crossings along the way.

Through habitat restoration, wildlife crossings, and collaborative conservation efforts, The WYldlife Fund helps protect the landscapes and pathways that keep these remarkable journeys possible.

Not all fences are created with wildlife in mind.

While fences are an important part of working landscapes, traditional designs can unintentionally block migration routes, limit access to food and water, and increase the risk of injury for wildlife.

Wildlife-friendly fencing offers a simple but effective solution. Small design improvements can help animals move safely across the landscape while continuing to support ranching operations.

Through partnerships and on-the-ground conservation projects, The WYldlife Fund helps advance wildlife-friendly fencing across Wyoming—protecting the movement of species like pronghorn, mule deer, elk, and more.
