A big win for pronghorn! 🦌

A combined $112,000 investment from WYldlife Fund and the Pronghorn Fund helped make the purchase of critical land possible, creating a safer path for pronghorn during their seasonal migration.

The Pronghorn Fund’s $56,000 contribution provided the final funding needed to secure the land, marking its first funded project and an important milestone for pronghorn conservation.

In most situations, bears will avoid people. If one doesn’t, pay attention to what the bear is doing. A defensive bear and a predatory bear require different responses.

Wetlands are more than water on the landscape. 💧🫎

They provide wildlife with essential habitat for feeding, shelter, and survival. For Wyoming’s moose, wet and riparian areas are especially important, offering access to the cool environments they rely on during warmer conditions.

Protecting and restoring these habitats helps support healthier ecosystems for moose and many other species across Wyoming.

Healthy wetlands help keep Wyoming wild.

Progress is taking shape near Kemmerer. 🚧

Construction continues on the South Kemmerer Wildlife Crossing Project, designed to create safer passage for wildlife and reduce wildlife-vehicle collisions along Highway 189.

With seven underpasses, one overpass, and approximately 30 miles of fencing planned, each stage of construction brings this collaborative project closer to connecting habitat and improving safety for wildlife and drivers.

The WYldlife Fund is proud to have contributed more than $900,000 toward this important effort.

Completion is expected in October 2027.

🦫 Beavers may be small, but their impact on habitat can be significant.

By building dams, beavers create pools and wet areas that can expand and improve riparian habitat. For moose, these wet environments provide important places to cool down during warmer conditions. 🫎

That connection is one reason The Moose Fund has supported beaver translocation efforts in Wyoming, helping restore wetland habitat that benefits moose and other wildlife.
