Day 3: 2026 WAB Spring Forge-In. We gathered for the final day and finished up the camp axes and tomahawks. Then we took sometime to throw them, take a group picture, and then we were off back to our own corners of Wyoming, Montana, and South Dakota. Thanks to everyone who came. It was a blast.

Day 2: 2026 WAB Spring Forge-In. Dave wedged a piece of high carbon steel into the mild billet for creating the hard edge of the ax. The camera guy did a great job of focusing on Dave’s shoes and not the actual forge weld. 😅

Day 1: WAB Spring Forge-In. We are joined by 2024 SFI demonstrator, Troy Ehrmantrout and fellow farrier. Michael Diggins. Troy demo’d a hot-cut tool and tongs at that demo. They both came in handy for this tomahawk workshop.
