Meet Kendal Hepp — nurse, ranch wife, mom, and our newest JCFF board member! 🤠

While this is Kendal's first year on the board, she's been showing up at the Johnson County Fairgrounds for 13 years. For her, it's all about the relationships and experiences this place creates. She can't imagine raising her kids anywhere else — and honestly, neither can we imagine the fairgrounds without families like hers.

Her most treasured memory? Getting to lead both of her kids through their very first competitive runs at the Johnson County Youth Rodeo. The kind of moment a parent holds in their heart forever. 🥹

And her favorite event? Fair week — watching kids and families show off the hard work they've put in all year. In her own words: "they get run around like feral animals for a little bit longer before they head back to school." 😂 We couldn't have said it better ourselves.

Meet Mandy Mader — JCFF board member from Day 1 and insurance agent at Farm Bureau! 🤝

For Mandy, the fairgrounds are a gathering place — not just for the community, but for her own family, who visits about 20 times a year. That kind of personal connection is exactly what drives the heart of this foundation.

Her favorite memory? Watching kids experience the same traditions their parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents had growing up. That multi-generational thread of community and agriculture is what makes Johnson County so special — and exactly why JCFF exists.

Her favorite event is the JC Fair and Rodeo Week, and honestly, we think she speaks for most of us on that one! 🐂🎡

We are so grateful to have Mandy's passion and dedication with us since the very beginning. Stay tuned as we continue introducing our amazing board! 👇

Meet Keefe Rice — JCFF board member, general contractor, and a fairgrounds lifer! 🐷

When asked how long he's been involved with JCFF, Keefe's answer was simple: "Forever." And that says it all.

For Keefe, the fairgrounds are a safe place for his kids to be part of something bigger. From 4-H to FFA, he's watched the next generation build confidence, learn responsibility, and find their place in the community they call home.

His favorite event? The pig show — and judging by this photo, it's easy to see why! 🤠
