✨ Brothers!! This Saturday, May 2nd , 2pm - 3pm and other Brothers in our community are holding space for men of different ages to collectively reflect on life’s challenges and share the ways we navigate them. Together, we’ll explore topics like self-development/identity, economic empowerment, cultural issues, unemployment, marriage/relationships, fatherhood, our health and more.

Come! Share your Presence and gain a Brotherhood of support.

✨ Then, next Wednesday, May 6th, 6:30 - 7:30pm

Join for a free Vinyasa Yoga class; a dynamic, flowing practice that links breath with movement to build strength, flexibility, and focus.

Each class follows a structured sequence of postures, encouraging mindfulness, alignment, and steady energy flow. Suitable for all levels, the practice challenges the body while cultivating balance, stamina, and a deeper connection between mind and body.

We are stepping into celebration, community, and growth.

Join us for our Capoeira Batizado & Troca de Cordão 2026, a powerful day honoring the journey of our young capoeiristas and the traditions that continue to shape them.

From first movements to earned cords, we gather to recognize discipline, joy, and the steady growth that happens inside the roda and beyond it.

Throughout the day, students will take part in age-specific workshops, live music, and shared movement, leading into our Batizado ceremony and community roda.

✨ All workshops are open to the public
We welcome families, friends, and neighbors to come experience Capoeira alongside us—no prior experience needed, just openness and presence.

This is more than an event—it is a gathering of community, culture, and care.

The children have grown so much this year.
So it makes perfect sense that we get back to growing our garden too. We are excited to see the sprouting and inevitable flourishing!

At Ifetayo, innovation is green, the future is connected to the earth, thriving is collective, and growing is sweet!

Family, what are you tending? What is sprouting in you?

This Saturday, April 11th - Join a team of clinicians and coaches for a grounded, honest conversation about mental health and our relationship to therapy. This workshop will explore different scenarios where we will assess your opinions and present evidence based solutions and cultural relevance to typical problems that we face in relationship to ourselves and others.

Then, next Wednesday, April 15th Ifetayo & MINKA team up to offer sliding-scale acupuncture, reiki & nutrition consultation sessions to provide more access to these effective healing pathways.

Our community clinic model is rooted in the reality that we all need care, yet we don’t all have the same access to that care. Peoples of the African Diaspora and our siblings of the Global South often face discrimination, dismissal, systemic inequities and harm within healthcare spaces. Our collaboration aims to provide a Diaspora-centered space of care that considers the current experiences and complex histories of our kin while expanding the types of healing modalities we get to regularly benefit from.

When people pay as much as they can, it helps others who may be less able to gain access and helps ensure Practitioners earn a living wage. We’re all in this together and choose to do our best to take care of one another.

Acupuncture sessions are facilitated by Lindsay Fauntleroy, L.Ac an expert TCM practitioner, medicine maker, and the author of In Our Element: Using the Five Elements of Soul Medicine to Unleash your Personal Power.

Reiki sessions are given by , a Reiki Level 2 and Earth Evolution Reiki energy practitioner that supports BIPOC people on their sacred journeys of healing, remembrance, and reclamation of spirit with reiki, tarot card readings, and intuitive guidance.

Ayurvedic Nutrition Consultations are offered by Winter Parris who offers culturally responsive guidance that supports healthy lifestyle, stress regulation, digestive health, and overall wellbeing.
