Some people think it’s a show.
Some people think it’s for attention.
But this work is really about change.

Shooting responses are about preventing retaliation, protecting the community, calming tensions, and reminding people that violence does not have to control our neighborhoods.

When the community finds its voice, violence loses its power.

Violence cannot become normal in our communities.

When a shooting happens, we cannot move like it’s business as usual. We have to pull up. We have to be visible. We have to let our people know somebody cares enough to stand up and say, “Enough.”

When trusted voices show up in the streets, it sends a message:
Our neighborhoods are not abandoned.
Our community still has a voice.
And we will not accept violence as normal.

Yesterday, Man Up Inc. proudly welcomed over 75 amazing mothers to the PJAC Center for our annual Mother’s Day Brunch. 💐✨

This was more than just a brunch. It was a celebration of love, healing, strength, and sisterhood for the women who hold our families and communities together every day. 💕

From the laughter and fellowship to the food and beautiful moments shared, the room was filled with joy, resilience, and appreciation. 🌸

Today, we honor every mother, grandmother, auntie, and woman who continues to lead with love through every challenge. Your strength shapes generations and your presence keeps our communities alive. 👑
