Our new fire investigation unit is now in service. Interior storage space exceeds our previous unit, which has served our office well for over a decade after a life of service in EMS.
This new truck is equipped with an inverter for scene lighting, a canopy and carries a full complement of communication equipment which can allow it to serve as a command post. A few more finishing touches for the command area still to be done, but she is ready to respond.
Thank you to Fire Marshal II Ryan White for specing and laying out the interior storage shelving and cabinets as well as the Southampton Town Board and Director Ryan Murphy for all of the much needed support in making this endeavor possible.

The Fire Marshals Association of Suffolk County was proud to partner with the NYS Office of Fire Prevention and Control to host an Evidence Collection Technician training course, bringing together dedicated professionals committed to strengthening investigative skills and best practices.

Participants received hands-on instruction and valuable insight into proper evidence handling, documentation, and collection procedures that support thorough and effective investigations.

A big thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this training a success. We appreciate your continued commitment to professionalism, education, and excellence in the field.

A special thanks to the New York State Division of Homeland Security & Emergency Services, New York State Fire Protection Specialists, Suffolk County Fire Rescue and Emergency Services, and Suffolk County Fire Academy for their support!
