So, there was evidence of toxic ash being dumped at the Brookhaven Landfill, however, “top Brookhaven officials” supported Covanta over the whistleblower. According to another article, Covanta makes “generous political donations” to Brookhaven officials. Once the DEC confirms toxic ash was received by the landfill, Brookhaven sues Covanta only to then settle the case. Anyone else see something wrong here? Oh, and no mention of remediation or ceasing doing business with Covanta in the future.

Is this what an outside of a school should look like?

This was the scene outside of Frank P Long school due to reporter illnesses from odors. Years later it is STILL open. Why? Does this look like a safe learning environment? would you send your child here?
