Faith Mobile Food Bank Bristol
Distribution was today. OMG what a blessing. We handed out food for 236 people. That’s a lot for a mobile van in a church parking lot with a 3 person staff plus volunteers we love.
We will now prepare for Thanksgiving. Our give is Saturday November 14th. We will give details later
If you can contribute, we would love your help

Please spread the word for this lost dog by sharing this post.

💬 Owner's Message: "Her name is Luna and I rescued her from the pound almost 12 years ago. She’s usually an inside dog, she ran off this morning when we were taking her out to potty. She’s normally very sweet but does get skittish, she’s old and doesn’t really do great with other dogs she doesn’t know. "

🐾 Description: "Husky mix, recently shaved"

Why does World Food Day matter?
Five facts to know about hunger in 2025

According to the United Nations, 1 in 13 people around the world faces hunger. That’s about 645 million people worldwide who don’t have enough food to eat.

In the United States alone, nearly 48 million people experience food insecurity.

Global hunger rates are slowly declining after a yearslong spike, which shows that progress is possible. However, these improvements are unstable and uneven across regions, and global hunger remains higher than it was before the pandemic.

Rising costs, global conflict and intensifying effects of climate change continue to fuel hunger in communities around the world. Recent crises, such as the Iran war, could undermine the minor progress that’s been made.

Last year, 64 million fewer people received aid as reduced funding stressed the international humanitarian aid system.
