Gertie Mae is a sweet, gentle girl looking for a loving home where she can settle in and be spoiled like she deserves. She may start off shy, but once she decides you’re trustworthy, prepare yourself for surprise cuddles and a very committed snuggle buddy.

She currently lives with multiple dogs and basically treats them like mildly annoying coworkers. She’s also lived with cats before and had zero drama — because Gertie prefers peace, quiet, and minding her own business.

Her ideal home would not include tiny sticky humans, but respectful older kids are perfectly acceptable to Her Majesty.

In case you missed it: Cody Roberts of Daniel, WY has been indicted on a felony animal cruelty charge for the brutal killing of a young gray wolf.

This charge follows the tragic February 2024 incident in which Roberts ran down the wolf with a snowmobile, restrained her while she was injured, brought her into a bar for photos, and later shot and killed her. The cruelty she suffered is unconscionable. You can find additional background on this case here: projectcoyote.org/protect-wyoming-wolves

A hearing on January 28, 2026 will address a defense motion to dismiss the felony charge. The defense argues that Wyoming laws allowing the killing of predators conflict with the state’s animal cruelty statute and create an exemption from prosecution. They have also requested that opinion testimony be excluded, that Wyoming Game and Fish’s lead wolf biologist be barred from providing expert testimony, and that any prior wrongdoing by Roberts be deemed inadmissible.

Judge Richard Lavery will decide whether the case moves forward. If the motion is denied, the case will proceed to trial, currently scheduled for March 9, 2026.

The hearing will not be virtual. Members of the public may observe proceedings in person at the Sweetwater County Courthouse (Rock Springs) or the Sublette County Courthouse (Pinedale). Roberts, his attorney, and the judge will attend virtually.

The suffering this young wolf endured cannot be ignored, and we continue working toward a future where accountability is ensured, not only in her case, but for all wild carnivores who urgently need protection. Thank you to everyone who has raised their voices, your efforts matter!

Brad is such a handsome boy, and has been an absolute gentleman when being handled. Unfortunately that wasn't enough to prevent him from being dumped in this cold weather. After posting his picture for several days, no one came forward to.claim him and our rescue was contacted to take him in. He's very friendly with people and not afraid of dogs however we have not introduced him to any hens yet so we cannot comment on his behavior around girls. If you are looking to add a rooster to your flock please DM us.

THANK YOU FOR ALL THE INTERST IN ADOPTING THE KITTENS, THEY HAVE FOUND THEIR HOME!!

Our 8-week-old bottle babies are now ready to find their new home. The little gray girl was born with a short tail, it is not an injury and only adds to her charm. She is the social butterfly and the first to meet you at the door. Our little orange boy is a bit more reserved and may take a few days to warm up to his new surroundings, but once they are comfortable, your lap will never be the same. Both come with spay/neuter contracts and vet options. Adoption fee is $75 per kitten or keep them together for $125. Ready to add a kitten to your life? DM us directly. Not ready to adopt? WE HAVE BOTTLE BABIES!! These two cuties will be ready for their new homes in a just a few weeks and we are going to start accepting applications on Monday 10/27. Gray is a little girl and the orange is a boy. Due to our schedules, it's very hard to respond to every comment, if you are interested in adopting one or both kittens please DM us.
