This day was particularly significant as our group visited a local care facility, spending time with a special lady on hospice care whose husband had honorably served our country. Sandy, a passionate Harley passenger, had a deep love for riding and the memories it created, a connection we were blessed to share. At Courtyard Manor, we engaged in meaningful interactions with residents, several of whom were veterans, and our legion commander presented pins of recognition to these soldiers. This experience was mutually rewarding, filling both us and those we visited with joy and warmth.

On Saturday, May 23rd, the second iteration of troops from the 3rd Battalion 126th Infantry returned home from the Middle East after a year-long deployment, and Post 141 ALR members were present to greet them. Real-world operations exert considerable stress on soldiers and their families, and we are deeply appreciative of these freedom defenders and their families, whose support is vital to achieving mission success.

The community came together as 141 riders joined a local family for a final farewell, paying tribute to Tony Poma, a cherished member of the community. As a hot dog vendor, Tony was a familiar face, embodying the spirit of Howell with his kindness and passion for Harley Davidsons. His radiant smile will be remembered fondly.

We enjoyed a fantastic evening ride, skillfully guided by our Road Captain Klassic, who led us through the picturesque back roads. Rhino and Taz played a crucial role in blocking and safeguarding our large group, ultimately concluding our dinner ride at New Hudson Inn. The event drew over 35 attendees to the meal, filling a considerable section of the outside seating.
