We are thrilled to announce that Ann Compton will be sharing her incredible experiences as a keynote speaker at GLCC 2024. Ann’s remarkable career includes covering 7 Presidents and 10 presidential campaigns over her 41 years with ABC News. She broke new ground as the first woman to cover the White House for a television network and has traveled to all 50 states and 6 continents with American leaders.

Ann’s accolades include winning 1 Emmy for her exclusive coverage on Air Force One during September 11, 2001, participating as a panelist on 2 presidential general election debates, and serving as President of the White House Correspondents’ Association. Her contributions have earned her induction into 6 Halls of Fame, 5 honorary degrees, and 1 lifetime achievement award.

Ann is also a proud mother of 4 children and grandmother to 10 grandchildren. Fun fact: she once impressed her husband, Dr. William Hughes, by appearing as #12 Down in the “Sunday” New York Times crossword!
