Companies across the country are rethinking their approach to infrastructure, real estate, public/private partnerships, workforce development, energy, transportation and regional competitiveness. These issues increasingly present board-level questions about capital allocation, risk oversight, talent strategy, reputational value and long-term enterprise growth.

Join us September 24 for a program, moderated by Kimberly Pustulka, Partner at Jones Day, that will examine how directors should evaluate the opportunities and risks of major public/private investment. Brian Anderson, Regional Executive of the Cleveland Head Office of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, will offer an economic perspective on the forces shaping growth and competitiveness in its region, which covers all of Ohio as well as parts of Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Kentucky. Scott Skinner, President and CEO of the North Coast Waterfront Development Corporation, will discuss the challenges of moving major public/private development from vision to ex*****on. Cassandra Haddock, Senior Vice President & Associate General Counsel at KeyBank, will bring a legal and governance perspective, examining the risks, responsibilities and considerations directors should weigh when evaluating major public/private investments

The conversation will focus on the practical questions directors should ask when their companies are considering or participating in public/private partnerships: What makes a project strategically compelling? How should boards weigh incentives, ex*****on risk, community impact and long-term return? What governance processes are needed to separate civic enthusiasm from disciplined business judgment and ex*****on of the long-term strategic plan?

AI, quantum computing, ransomware, cyber disclosures.

These no longer topics reserved for technology teams. They’re boardroom issues.

Cyber-Risk Oversight for Corporate Directors helps directors apply practical guidance from the new National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) ISA Director’s Handbook on Cyber-Risk Oversight through discussion, simulations, and real-world scenarios.
