So Simba at Alfred's Animals needs his eye removed. We have really been hit hard this past year. Simba has been watched very closely with frequent visits and they became closer and now and it is just gotten worse. It's devastating to think that he will lose an eye.

We will be starting a GoFundMe for Simba here soon. Dr Bagley at PVSEC said his eye needs to come out ASAP. He is the baby and the King in the rescue. This rescue would be lost without Simba if you've ever had the pleasure of meeting Simba then you know he greets you at the door he greets the chewy boxes at the door he knows which ones are chewy he is the best baby if you've ever had the chance to meet him, hold him he is withhold this rescue together!!!! We need to save Simba!!!! He welcomes every new rescue we get and makes them feel at home he's the staple here.

Simba our sweet baby here at Alfred's Alfred's Animals needs and eye annoculation. This is so devastating for us that he needs to lose an eye. Well our rescue kitties have been quite sick as well as the humans lately with URI'S and etc... at Alfred's Animals. So today Clarence was pretty sick and he had to get seen. Poor baby had green discharge and the antibiotics took care of his bacterial infection, but he also has a viral infection. So all prayers 🙏 are needed please. However, I wanted share something the doctor mentioned using saline in his nose and my daughter told me about something called boogies for kids a saline mist with a mask. So much easier than trying to put saline in a cat nose. I highly recommend this for all fur babies that need saline it's less traumatic than trying to put saline up each nostril. You can do it for 1-5 min. Clarence is using this with a humidifier and prayers 🤲🙏!!!!

Hi everyone this is Della. Like Della Street from Perry Mason. She is currently at Norwin Veterinarian Hospital under the care of Dr. Harvey Bendix. She is fighting as she normally would. She is pretty sick. At home she had to be in our oxygen tent. Then admitted into the hospital. Doc feels she has a bad Infection. She stopped eating and meds are on board for that. She is also receiving antibiotics and she did receive IV fluids because she was dehydrated. She's so scared and she misses Simba her little rescue husband partner in crime. But, we really need a lot of prayers. If anyone would like to donate to Della's care they can call Norwin Veterinarian at 724- 864-6300 hospital under Alfred's Animals 501c3 under Sean and Staci Weir.

Animal Friends announced the launch of a temporary program, which will offer free surgeries for owned pets and community cats in Pittsburgh.

After more than a yearlong pause, Pittsburgh residents can once again apply for the city's free spay and neuter program for pets.

The program was paused in February 2024, after an evaluation that uncovered “inappropriate” and “disingenuous” uses for the free service, including non-residents falsifying addresses to access it.
